Fiber-Meet. 3.3.1 If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, the Parties shall jointly engineer and operate a single Synchronous Optical Network (“SONET”) transmission system. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this SONET transmission system shall be configured, engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by the Implementation Team. 3.3.2 CBT shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTM”) equipment in the CBT Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 CLEC shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC Interconnection Switching Center (“MISC”) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWC. CLEC shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISC. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLEC, CLEC will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLEC-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC has installed in the MISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

Upon verbal request by CLEC to CBTAmeritech, CBT Ameritech will allow CLEC access to the Fiber-Fiber- Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBTAmeritech's receipt of such request.

Upon verbal request by CLEC Intermedia to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC Intermedia access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request.
3.3.5 CLEC Intermedia shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC IISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCIISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLECIntermedia, CLEC Intermedia will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLECIntermedia's receipt of such request.
3.3.6 CLEC Intermedia shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECIntermedia-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC IISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC Intermedia utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC Intermedia has installed in the MISCIISC.

3.3.4 CBT Ameritech shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way (meet point manhole) immediately outside the CIWC as a AICO that will be accessible via Ameritech structure leasing at the closest manhole (Fiber-Meet entry point) or suitable entry point available via Ameritech connecting structure where the possibility of manhole cave-in or manhole accessibility does not present a problem, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC Requesting Carrier to deliver, deliver fiber optic facilities into that manhole or suitable entry point with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWCAICO. CLEC Requesting Carrier shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Requesting Carrier to CBTAmeritech, CBT Ameritech will allow CLEC Requesting Carrier access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's Ameritech’s receipt of such request.

3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction.
3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

3.3.6 CLEC ICG shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECICG-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC ICG utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC ICG has installed in the MISC.
3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC ICG strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC.
3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction.
3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet in accordance with the Implementation Plan and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

CLEC Intermedia shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Intermedia to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC Intermedia access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request.
3.3.5 CLEC Intermedia shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC IISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCIISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Focal to CBTAmeritech, CBT Ameritech will allow CLEC Focal access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBTAmeritech's receipt of such request.

CLEC Urban Media shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Urban Media to CBTAmeritech, CBT Ameritech will allow CLEC Urban Media access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBTAmeritech's receipt of such request.
3.3.5 CLEC III.3.5 Urban Media shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC KIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT Ameritech to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCKIWC. III.3.7 Ameritech shall pull the fiber optic strands from the Ameritech-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC AIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC Ameritech utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT Urban Media strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC Ameritech has installed in the MISCAIWC.

3.3.4 CBT shall designate a manhole or V. Neither Party will be allowed to access the Data Communications Channel (“DCC”) of the other suitable entry-way immediately outside Party’s FOT. The Fiber Meet will be designed so that each Party may, as far as is technically feasible, independently select the CIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receivetransmission, multiplexing, and fiber terminating equipment to allow be used on its side of the Interconnection Point. The Parties will work cooperatively to achieve equipment and enable CLEC vendor compatibility of the FOT equipment. Requirements for such Interconnection specifications will be defined in joint engineering planning sessions between the Parties. The Parties may share the investment of the fiber as mutually agreed. The Parties will use good faith efforts to deliverdevelop and agree on these facility arrangements within (90) days of the determination by the Parties that such specifications shall be implemented, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment and in the CIWC. CLEC shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC access any case prior to the Fiber-establishment of any Fiber Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request.

3.3.4 CBT 3.2.4 BellSouth shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately Point of Interface outside the CIWC BIWC as a Fiber-Fiber Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC ALEC to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole the Point of Interface with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment fusion splice point at the Point of Interface. BellSouth shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install, and maintain the fusion splicing point in the CIWCPoint of Interface. CLEC A Common Language Location Identification ("CLLI") code will be established for each Point of Interface. The code established must be a building type code. All orders shall originate from the Point of Interface (i.e., Point of Interface to ALEC, Point of Interface to BellSouth).
3.2.5 ALEC shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC to CBTALEC, CBT will BellSouth shall allow CLEC ALEC access to the Fiber-Fiber Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such requestpossible.
3.3.5 CLEC 3.2.6 The Parties shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside jointly coordinate and undertake maintenance of the MISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCSONET transmission system. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLEC, CLEC will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC's receipt of such request.
3.3.6 CLEC shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLEC-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC has installed in the MISC.
3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC.
3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from be responsible for maintaining the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's components of their own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such constructionSONET transmission system.
3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each 3.2.7 Each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet Fiber Meet, and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Fiber Meet.
3.2.8 Neither Party shall charge the other for its portion of the Fiber Meet facility used exclusively for non-transit local traffic (i.e. the Local Channel). Charges incurred for other services including dedicated transport facilities to the Point of Interconnection if applicable will apply. Charges for Switched and Special Access Services shall be billed in accordance with the applicable Access Service tariff (i.e. the BellSouth Interstate or Intrastate Access Services Tariff).
2. All of the other provisions of the Agreement, dated April 24, 2000, shall remain in full force and effect.
3. Either or both of the Parties is authorized to submit this Amendment to the respective state regulatory authorities for approval subject to Section 252(e) of the Federal Telecommunications Act of 1996.

CLEC Requesting Carrier shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. 3.3.5 CLEC Sprint shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC SISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCSISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLECSprint, CLEC Sprint will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLECSprint's receipt of such request.
3.3.6 CLEC Sprint shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECSprint-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC SISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC Sprint utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC Sprint has installed in the MISCSISC.
3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC Sprint strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC.
3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction.
3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet in accordance with the Implementation Plan and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.
