Common use of Fiber-Meet Clause in Contracts

Fiber-Meet. 3.3.1 If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, the Parties shall jointly engineer and operate a single Synchronous Optical Network (“SONET”) transmission system. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this SONET transmission system shall be configured, engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by the Implementation Team. 3.3.2 CBT shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTM”) equipment in the CBT Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 CLEC shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC Interconnection Switching Center (“MISC”) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWC. CLEC shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLEC, CLEC will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLEC-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC has installed in the MISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Fiber- Meet.

Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this SONET transmission system shall be configuredconfigured as illustrated in Exhibit A, and engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by in the Implementation TeamPlan (as defined in Section 8.1). 3.3.2 CBT III.3.2 Ameritech shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTM”OLTM ) equipment in the CBT Ameritech Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”AIWC) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 III.3.3 CLEC shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC Interconnection Switching Wire Center (“MISC”CIWC) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT III.3.4 Ameritech shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC AIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWCAIWC. CLEC shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC to CBTAmeritech, CBT Ameritech will allow CLEC access to the Fiber-Fiber- Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBTAmeritech's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 III.3.5 CLEC shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC ATIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT Ameritech to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCCIWC. CBT Ameritech shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT Ameritech to CLEC, CLEC will allow CBT Ameritech access to the Fiber-Fiber- Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 III.3.6 CLEC shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLEC-designated manhole/entry-entry- way into the MISC ATIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC utilizes for fiber optic facilities facilities, and shall connect the CBT Ameritech strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC has installed in the MISCCIWC. 3.3.7 CBT III.3.7 Ameritech shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBTAmeritech-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC AIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT Ameritech utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT Ameritech has installed in the CIWCAIWC. 3.3.8 III.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 III.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet in accordance with the Plan and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

CLEC shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLEC, CLEC will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, CLEC shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLEC-designated manhole/entryent ry-way into the MISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC has installed in the MISC. 3.3.7 If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CLEC Intermedia shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Intermedia to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC Intermedia access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC Intermedia shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC IISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCIISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLECIntermedia, CLEC Intermedia will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLECIntermedia's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC Intermedia shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECIntermedia-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC IISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC Intermedia utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC Intermedia has installed in the MISCIISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC Intermedia strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. Each Party agrees to by disable the Implementation TeamDigital Control Channel (“DCC”) in its equipment that is part of the SONET system and each Party shall be responsible for the monitoring of its own node(s). 3.3.2 CBT Ameritech shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTM”) equipment in the CBT Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”) AICO identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, 2.1 in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups Logical Trunk Groups prescribed by Articles IV and V.V. 12716496.1 80509 940C 00650405 3.3.3 CLEC Requesting Carrier shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC Interconnection Switching Center (“MISC”) RICO identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups Logical Trunk Groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT Ameritech shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way (meet point manhole) immediately outside the CIWC as a AICO that will be accessible via Ameritech structure leasing at the closest manhole (Fiber-Meet entry point) or suitable entry point available via Ameritech connecting structure where the possibility of manhole cave-in or manhole accessibility does not present a problem, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC Requesting Carrier to deliver, deliver fiber optic facilities into that manhole or suitable entry point with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWCAICO. CLEC Requesting Carrier shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Requesting Carrier to CBTAmeritech, CBT Ameritech will allow CLEC Requesting Carrier access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's Ameritech’s receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLEC, CLEC will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLEC-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC has installed in the MISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

Fiber-Meet. 3.3.1 If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, the Parties shall jointly engineer and operate a single Synchronous Optical Network (“SONET”) transmission system. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this This SONET transmission system shall be configured, configured as mutually agreed and engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by in the Implementation TeamPlan. 3.3.2 CBT shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor Multiplexer (“OLTM”) equipment in the CBT Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 CLEC Adelphia shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC Adelphia Interconnection Switching Center (“MISCAISC”) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC Adelphia to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWC. CLEC Adelphia shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Xxxxxxxx to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC Xxxxxxxx access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC Adelphia shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC IISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCIISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLECXxxxxxxx, CLEC Xxxxxxxx will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLECXxxxxxxx's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC Adelphia shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECAdelphia-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC IISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC Adelphia utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC Adelphia has installed in the MISCIISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC Adelphia strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a Neither Party is required to construct new entrances should such separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such constructionentrances be nonexistent. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet in accordance with the Implementation Plan and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

Fiber-Meet. 3.3.1 If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, the Parties shall jointly engineer and operate a single Synchronous Optical Network (“SONET”A SONET@ ) transmission system. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this SONET transmission system shall be configured, configured as illustrated in Exhibit B and engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by in the Implementation TeamPlan. 3.3.2 CBT shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTM”A OLTM@ ) equipment in the CBT Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”A CIWC@ ) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 CLEC Sprint shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC Sprint Interconnection Switching Center (“MISC”A SISC@ ) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC Sprint to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWC. CLEC Sprint shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Sprint to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC Sprint access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC Sprint shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC SISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCSISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLECSprint, CLEC Sprint will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLECSprint's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC Sprint shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECSprint-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC SISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC Sprint utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC Sprint has installed in the MISCSISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC Sprint strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet in accordance with the Implementation Plan and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

Fiber-Meet. 3.3.1 III.3.1 If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, the Parties shall jointly engineer and operate a single Synchronous Optical Network (“SONET”) SONET transmission system. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this SONET transmission system shall be configuredconfigured as illustrated in Exhibit A, and engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by in the Implementation TeamPlan (as defined in Section 8.1). 3.3.2 CBT III.3.2 Ameritech shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTM”) equipment in the CBT Ameritech Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”AIWC) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 III.3.3 CLEC shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC Interconnection Switching Wire Center (“MISC”CIWC) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT III.3.4 Ameritech shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC AIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWCAIWC. CLEC shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC to CBTAmeritech, CBT Ameritech will allow CLEC access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBTAmeritech's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 III.3.5 CLEC shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC ATIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT Ameritech to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCCIWC. CBT Ameritech shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT Ameritech to CLEC, CLEC will allow CBT Ameritech access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 III.3.6 CLEC shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLEC-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC ATIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC utilizes for fiber optic facilities facilities, and shall connect the CBT Ameritech strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC has installed in the MISCCIWC. 3.3.7 CBT III.3.7 Ameritech shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBTAmeritech-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC AIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT Ameritech utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT Ameritech has installed in the CIWCAIWC. 3.3.8 III.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this SONET transmission system shall be configured, configured as illustrated in Exhibit A and engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by in the Implementation TeamPlan. 3.3.2 CBT III.3.2 Ameritech shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“"OLTM”") equipment in the CBT Ameritech Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”"AIWC") identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 CLEC III.3.3 21st Century shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC 21st Century Interconnection Switching Center (“MISC”"TISC") identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT III.3.4 Ameritech shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC AIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC 21st Century to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWCAIWC. CLEC 21st Century shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC 21st Century to CBTAmeritech, CBT Ameritech will allow CLEC 21st Century access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBTAmeritech's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC III.3.5 21st Century shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC TISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT Ameritech to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCTISC. CBT Ameritech shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT Ameritech to CLEC21st Century, CLEC 21st Century will allow CBT Ameritech access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC21st Century's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC III.3.6 21st Century shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLEC21st Century-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC TISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC 21st Century utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT Ameritech strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC 21st Century has installed in the MISCTISC. 3.3.7 CBT III.3.7 Ameritech shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBTAmeritech-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC AIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT Ameritech utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC 21st Century strands to the OLTM equipment CBT Ameritech has installed in the CIWCAIWC. 3.3.8 III.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 III.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet in accordance with the Implementation Plan and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this SONET transmission system shall be configured, engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by the Implementation Team. 3.3.2 CBT shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTMOLTM ”) equipment in the CBT Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 CLEC shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC Interconnection Switching Center (“MISC”) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWC. CLEC shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLEC, CLEC will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Fiber- Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLEC-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC has installed in the MISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this SONET transmission system shall be configured, engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by the Implementation TeamIII. 3.3.2 CBT shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTMOLTM ”) equipment in the CBT Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 CLEC Frontier shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC Frontier Interconnection Switching Center (“MISC”) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC Frontier to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWC. CLEC Frontier shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Frontier to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC Frontier access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC Frontier shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLECFrontier, CLEC Frontier will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Fiber- Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLECFrontier's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC Frontier shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECFrontier-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC Frontier utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC Frontier has installed in the MISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC Frontier strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Fiber- Meet.

CLEC ICG shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC ICG to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC ICG access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC ICG shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLECICG, CLEC ICG will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLECICG's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC ICG shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECICG-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC ICG utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC ICG has installed in the MISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC ICG strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet in accordance with the Implementation Plan and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

Fiber-Meet. 3.3.1 If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, the Parties shall jointly engineer and operate a single Synchronous Optical Network (“SONET”) transmission system. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this This SONET transmission system shall be configured, configured as mutually agreed and engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by in the Implementation TeamPlan. 3.3.2 CBT shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor Multiplexer (“OLTM”) equipment in the CBT Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 CLEC Intermedia shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC Intermedia Interconnection Switching Center (“MISCIISC”) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC Intermedia to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWC. CLEC Intermedia shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Intermedia to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC Intermedia access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC Intermedia shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC IISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCIISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLECIntermedia, CLEC Intermedia will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Fiber- Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLECIntermedia's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC Intermedia shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECIntermedia-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC IISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC Intermedia utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC Intermedia has installed in the MISCIISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC Intermedia strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. Fiber-Meet. 3.3.1 If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, the Parties shall jointly engineer and operate a single Synchronous Optical Network (“SONET”) transmission system. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this SONET transmission system shall be configured, engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by the Implementation TeamIII. 3.3.2 CBT shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTM”) equipment in the CBT Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 CLEC Sprint shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC Sprint Interconnection Switching Center (“MISCNISC”) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC Sprint to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWC. CLEC Sprint shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Sprint to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC Sprint access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC Sprint shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC NISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCNISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLECSprint, CLEC Sprint will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLECSprint's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC Sprint shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECSprint-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC NISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC Sprint utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC Sprint has installed in the MISCNISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC Sprint strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

Fiber-Meet. 3.3.1 III.3.1 If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, the Parties shall jointly engineer and operate a single Synchronous Optical Network (“SONET”) transmission system. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this SONET transmission system shall be configuredconfigured as illustrated in Exhibit A, and engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed in the Grooming Plan (as defined in Section 18.2). Each Party agrees to by disable the Implementation TeamDigital Control Channel (“DCC”) in its equipment that is part of the SONET System and each Party shall be responsible for the monitoring of its own node. 3.3.2 CBT III.3.2 Ameritech shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor Multiplexer (“OLTM”) equipment in the CBT Ameritech Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWCAIWC”) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, 2.1 in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups Logical Trunk Groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 CLEC III.3.3 Focal shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC Focal Interconnection Switching Wire Center (“MISCBIWC”) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups Logical Trunk Groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT III.3.4 Ameritech shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC AIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC Focal to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWCAIWC. CLEC Focal shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Focal to CBTAmeritech, CBT Ameritech will allow CLEC Focal access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBTAmeritech's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC III.3.5 Focal shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC BIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT Ameritech to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCBIWC. CBT Ameritech shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT Ameritech to CLECFocal, CLEC Focal will allow CBT Ameritech access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLECXxxxx's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC III.3.6 Focal shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECFocal-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC BIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC Focal utilizes for fiber optic facilities facilities, and shall connect the CBT Ameritech strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC Focal has installed in the MISCBIWC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this SONET transmission system shall be configured, engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by the Implementation TeamIII. 3.3.2 CBT shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTMOLTM ”) equipment in the CBT Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 CLEC TELIGENT shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC TELIGENT Interconnection Switching Center (“MISC”) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC TELIGENT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWC. CLEC TELIGENT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC TELIGENT to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC TELIGENT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC TELIGENT shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLECTELIGENT, CLEC TELIGENT will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLECTELIGENT's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC TELIGENT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECTELIGENT-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC TELIGENT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC TELIGENT has installed in the MISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC TELIGENT strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Fiber- Meet.

Fiber-Meet. 3.3.1 III.3.1 If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, the Parties shall jointly engineer and operate a single Synchronous Optical Network (“SONET”) transmission system. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this SONET transmission system shall be configuredconfigured as illustrated in Exhibit A, and engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by in the Implementation TeamPlan (as defined in Section 8.1). 3.3.2 CBT III.3.2 Ameritech shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTM”) equipment in the CBT Ameritech Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWCAIWC”) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, 2.1 in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 CLEC III.3.3 Urban Media shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC Urban Media Interconnection Switching Wire Center (“MISCKIWC”) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, 2.1 in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT III.3.4 Ameritech shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC AIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC Urban Media to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWCAIWC. CLEC Urban Media shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Urban Media to CBTAmeritech, CBT Ameritech will allow CLEC Urban Media access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBTAmeritech's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC III.3.5 Urban Media shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC KIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT Ameritech to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCKIWC. CBT Ameritech shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT Ameritech to CLECUrban Media, CLEC Urban Media will allow CBT Ameritech access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC's Urban Media’s receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC III.3.6 Urban Media shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECUrban Media’s- designated manhole/entry-way into the KIWC and through appropriate internal conduits Urban Media utilizes for fiber optic facilities, and shall connect the Ameritech strands to the OLTM equipment Urban Media has installed in the KIWC. III.3.7 Ameritech shall pull the fiber optic strands from the Ameritech-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC AIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC Ameritech utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT Urban Media strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC Ameritech has installed in the MISCAIWC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 III.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 III.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet in accordance with the Plan and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

Fiber-Meet. 3.3.1 If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, the Parties shall jointly engineer and operate a single Synchronous Optical Network (“SONET”) transmission system. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this SONET transmission system shall be configured, engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by the Implementation Team. 3.3.2 CBT shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTM”) and Fiber Optic Terminating (FOT) equipment in the CBT Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, as required for taking the optical signal handoff from SBCT and in a capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 CLEC V. SBCT shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM and FOT equipment in the CLEC SBCT Interconnection Switching Center (“MISC”) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, as required for taking the optical handoff from CBT and in a capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT shall designate a manhole or V. Neither Party will be allowed to access the Data Communications Channel (“DCC”) of the other suitable entry-way immediately outside Party’s FOT. The Fiber Meet will be designed so that each Party may, as far as is technically feasible, independently select the CIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receivetransmission, multiplexing, and fiber terminating equipment to allow be used on its side of the Interconnection Point. The Parties will work cooperatively to achieve equipment and enable CLEC vendor compatibility of the FOT equipment. Requirements for such Interconnection specifications will be defined in joint engineering planning sessions between the Parties. The Parties may share the investment of the fiber as mutually agreed. The Parties will use good faith efforts to deliverdevelop and agree on these facility arrangements within (90) days of the determination by the Parties that such specifications shall be implemented, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment and in the CIWC. CLEC shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC access any case prior to the Fiber-establishment of any Fiber Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCarrangements between them. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLEC, CLEC will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLEC-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC has installed in the MISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use provide its best efforts own unique source for the synchronized timing of its FOT equipment. Each timing source must be Stratum-1 traceable and cannot be provided over traffic bearing DS0/DS1 facilities. Both Parties agree to ensure establish separate and distinct timing sources that fiber received are not derived from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider other, and meet the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such constructioncriteria identified above. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

Fiber-Meet. 3.3.1 3.2.1 If the Parties Interconnect their networks ALEC elects to establish a Point of Interconnection with BellSouth pursuant to a Fiber-Fiber Meet, the Parties ALEC and BellSouth shall jointly engineer and operate a single Synchronous Optical Network ("SONET") transmission system by which they shall interconnect their transmission and routing of local traffic via a Local Channel facility at either the DS0, DS1, or DS3 level and shall be ordered via an Access Services Request (“SONETASR”) in the initial phase of this offering. The Parties shall work jointly to determine the specific transmission system. Unless otherwise mutually agreedHowever, this ALEC’s SONET transmission system shall must be configured, engineered, installedcompatible with BellSouth’s equipment in the serving wire center. The same vendor’s equipment and software version must be used, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by the Implementation TeamData Communications Channel (DCC) must be turned off. 3.3.2 CBT 3.2.2 BellSouth shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTM”) agreed upon SONET equipment in the CBT BellSouth Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V."BIWC"). 3.3.3 CLEC 3.2.3 ALEC shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM agreed upon SONET equipment in the CLEC ALEC Interconnection Switching Wire Center (“MISC”) identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV and V."ALEC Wire Center"). 3.3.4 CBT 3.2.4 BellSouth shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately Point of Interface outside the CIWC BIWC as a Fiber-Fiber Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC ALEC to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole the Point of Interface with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment fusion splice point at the Point of Interface. BellSouth shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install, and maintain the fusion splicing point in the CIWCPoint of Interface. CLEC A Common Language Location Identification ("CLLI") code will be established for each Point of Interface. The code established must be a building type code. All orders shall originate from the Point of Interface (i.e., Point of Interface to ALEC, Point of Interface to BellSouth). 3.2.5 ALEC shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC to CBTALEC, CBT will BellSouth shall allow CLEC ALEC access to the Fiber-Fiber Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such requestpossible. 3.3.5 CLEC 3.2.6 The Parties shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside jointly coordinate and undertake maintenance of the MISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCSONET transmission system. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLEC, CLEC will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLEC-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC has installed in the MISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from be responsible for maintaining the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's components of their own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such constructionSONET transmission system. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each 3.2.7 Each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet Fiber Meet, and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Fiber Meet. 3.2.8 Neither Party shall charge the other for its portion of the Fiber Meet facility used exclusively for non-transit local traffic (i.e. the Local Channel). Charges incurred for other services including dedicated transport facilities to the Point of Interconnection if applicable will apply. Charges for Switched and Special Access Services shall be billed in accordance with the applicable Access Service tariff (i.e. the BellSouth Interstate or Intrastate Access Services Tariff). 2. All of the other provisions of the Agreement, dated April 24, 2000, shall remain in full force and effect. 3. Either or both of the Parties is authorized to submit this Amendment to the respective state regulatory authorities for approval subject to Section 252(e) of the Federal Telecommunications Act of 1996.

Fiber-Meet. 3.3.1 III.3.1 If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, the Parties shall jointly engineer and operate a single Synchronous Optical Network (“SONET”) transmission system. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this SONET transmission system shall be configuredconfigured as illustrated in Exhibit A, and engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed in the Plan (as defined in Section 18.2). Each Party agrees to by disable the Implementation TeamDigital Control Channel (“DCC”) in its equipment that is part of the SONET system and each Party shall be responsible for the monitoring of its own node(s). 3.3.2 CBT III.3.2 Ameritech shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTM”) equipment in the CBT Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”) AICO identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.1, 2.1 in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups Logical Trunk Groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.3 CLEC III.3.3 Requesting Carrier shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the OLTM equipment in the CLEC Interconnection Switching Center (“MISC”) RICO identified for that LATA in Schedule 2.1, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups Logical Trunk Groups prescribed by Articles IV and V. 3.3.4 CBT III.3.4 Ameritech shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way (meet point manhole) immediately outside the CIWC as a AICO that will be accessible via Ameritech structure leasing at the closest manhole (Fiber-Meet entry point) or suitable entry point available via Ameritech connecting structure where the possibility of manhole cave-in or manhole accessibility does not present a problem, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC Requesting Carrier to deliver, deliver fiber optic facilities into that manhole or suitable entry point with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWCAICO. CLEC Requesting Carrier shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Requesting Carrier to CBTAmeritech, CBT Ameritech will allow CLEC Requesting Carrier access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's Ameritech’s receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLEC, CLEC will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLEC-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC has installed in the MISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.

Fiber-Meet. 3.3.1 IV.3.1 If the Parties Interconnect their networks pursuant to a Fiber-Meet, the Parties shall jointly engineer and operate a single Synchronous Optical Network (“SONET”ΑSONET≅) transmission system. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, this TWC shall have the right to designate the specific Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (ΑOLTM≅) equipment to be utilized at each end of the SONET transmission system shall (which Ameritech acknowledges may be configuredequipment manufactured by AT&T and/or Lucent Technologies, engineered, installed, and maintained as described in this Article III and agreed to by the Implementation TeamInc.). 3.3.2 CBT IV.3.2 Ameritech shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the Optical Line Terminating Multiplexor (“OLTM”) agreed upon OLTM equipment in the CBT each Ameritech Interconnection Wire Center (“CIWC”ΑAIWC≅) identified for each LATA set forth on Schedule 2.13.0, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV V and V.VI. 3.3.3 CLEC IV.3.3 TWC shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the agreed upon OLTM equipment in the CLEC TWC Interconnection Switching Wire Center (“MISC”ΑTIWC≅) identified for that LATA in on Schedule 2.13.0, in capacity sufficient to provision and maintain all logical trunk groups prescribed by Articles IV V and V.VI. 3.3.4 CBT IV.3.4 Ameritech shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the CIWC AIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CLEC TWC to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that 754828.2 111308 1852C 96252093 manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the AIWC. TWC shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. IV.3.5 TWC shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the TIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable Ameritech to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the CIWCTIWC. CLEC Ameritech shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLEC, CLEC will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC IV.3.6 TWC shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECTWC-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC TIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC TWC utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT Ameritech strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC TWC has installed in the MISCTIWC. 3.3.7 CBT IV.3.7 Ameritech shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-Ameritech- designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC AIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT Ameritech utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC TWC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT Ameritech has installed in the CIWCAIWC. 3.3.8 IV.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such the Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 IV.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet and in accordance with the Bilateral Agreement (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meetas defined in Section 20.7).

CLEC Frontier shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Frontier to CBTAmeritech, CBT Ameritech will allow CLEC Frontier access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBTAmeritech's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC III.3.5 Frontier shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC RICO as a Fiber-Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT Ameritech to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCRICO. CBT Ameritech shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. CLEC Frontier shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Frontier to CBTAmeritech, CBT Ameritech will allow CLEC Frontier access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBTAmeritech's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC III.3.5 Frontier shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC RICO as a Fiber-Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT Ameritech to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCRICO. CBT Ameritech shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT Ameritech to CLECFrontier, CLEC Frontier will allow CBT Ameritech access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLECFrontier's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLEC-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC has installed in the MISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CLEC TWTC shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC TWTC to CBTCBT in the event of service- affecting trouble, CBT will allow CLEC TWTC access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt the request - normally within 1 hour during Normal Business Hours and within 2 hours outside of such requestNormal Business Hours. 3.3.5 CLEC 4.3.5 TWTC shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC TIWC as a Fiber-Meet entry point point, and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCTIWC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLECTWTC in the event of service-affecting trouble, CLEC TWTC will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLEC's receipt the request - normally within 1 hour during Normal Business Hours and within 2 hours outside of such requestNormal Business Hours. 3.3.6 CLEC 4.3.6 TWTC shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECTWTC-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC TIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC TWTC utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC TWTC has installed in the MISCTIWC. 3.3.7 4.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC TWTC strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 4.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such the Party's own fiber exited. CLEC Sprint shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CLEC Sprint to CBT, CBT will allow CLEC Sprint access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CBT's receipt of such request. 3.3.5 CLEC Sprint shall designate a manhole or other suitable entry-way immediately outside the MISC SISC as a Fiber-Meet entry point and shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CBT to deliver, fiber optic facilities into that manhole with sufficient spare length to reach the OLTM equipment in the MISCSISC. CBT shall deliver and maintain such strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CBT to CLECSprint, CLEC Sprint will allow CBT access to the Fiber-Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible after CLECSprint's receipt of such request. 3.3.6 CLEC Sprint shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CLECSprint-designated manhole/entry-way into the MISC SISC and through appropriate internal conduits CLEC Sprint utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CBT strands to the OLTM equipment CLEC Sprint has installed in the MISCSISC. 3.3.7 CBT shall pull the fiber optic strands from the CBT-designated manhole/entry-way into the CIWC and through appropriate internal conduits CBT utilizes for fiber optic facilities and shall connect the CLEC Sprint strands to the OLTM equipment CBT has installed in the CIWC. 3.3.8 Each Party shall use its best efforts to ensure that fiber received from the other Party will enter that Party's Switching Center or Wire Center through a point separate from that through which such Party's own fiber exited. CBT shall consider the construction of a separate entrance facility as a means to achieve requested redundancy but CBT is not obligated to agree to such construction. 3.3.9 For Fiber-Meet arrangements, each Party will be responsible for (i) providing its own transport facilities to the Fiber-Meet in accordance with the Implementation Plan and (ii) the cost to build-out its facilities to such Fiber-Meet.
