Final amount subject to recoupment. Unless Treasury extends the time period, within 60 calendar days of receipt of the recipient’s request for reconsideration provided pursuant to paragraph (d) of this section, the recipient will be notified of the Secretary’s decision to affirm, withdraw, or modify the notice of recoupment. Such notification will include an explanation of the decision, including responses to the recipient’s supporting reasons and consideration of additional information provided.
