Common use of Final Working Drawings and Specifications Clause in Contracts

Final Working Drawings and Specifications. Once DISTRICT provides Architect with specific written approval of the Design Development Documents described herein, Architect shall prepare such complete working drawings and specifications as are necessary for developing complete bids and for properly executing the Project work ("Final Working Drawings and Specifications"). Such Final Working Drawings and Specifications shall be developed from the Schematic Plans and Design Development Documents approved by DISTRICT. The Final Working Drawings and Specifications shall set forth in detail all of the following: (1) the Project construction work to be done; (2) the materials, workmanship, finishes, and equipment required for the architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems; and (3) the utility service connection equipment and site work. DISTRICT may be requested to supply Architect with the necessary information to determine the proper location of all improvements on and off site, including existing record drawings ("existing record drawings") in DISTRICT's possession. Architect will make a good-faith effort to verify the accuracy of such information by means of a thorough interior and exterior visual survey of site conditions. DISTRICT shall also make a good-faith effort to verify the accuracy of the existing record drawings and provide any supplemental information to Architect which may not be shown on the existing record drawings. Architect shall not be responsible for the accuracy of the existing record drawings, except to the extent that any inaccuracy should have been detected by the Architect, pursuant to its standard of care, from readily available documents and visual observations of existing conditions.

Once DISTRICT WestEd provides Architect with specific written approval of the Design Development Documents described herein, Architect shall prepare such complete working drawings and specifications as are necessary for developing complete bids the selected general contractor firm to develop the Final Construction Budget and for to properly executing execute the Project work in an efficient and thorough manner ("Final Working Drawings and Specifications"). Such Final Working Drawings and Specifications shall be developed from the Schematic Plans and Design Development Documents approved by DISTRICTWestEd. The Final Working Drawings and Specifications shall set forth in detail all of the following: (1) the Project construction work to be done; (2) the materials, workmanship, finishes, and equipment required for the architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems; and (3) the utility service connection equipment and site work. DISTRICT As indicated in Section 3.9.2 of the Agreement, WestEd may be requested to supply Architect with the necessary information to determine the proper location of all improvements on and off site, including existing record drawings ("existing record “as-built drawings") in DISTRICT's WestEd’s possession. Architect will make a good-faith effort to verify the accuracy of such information by means of a thorough interior and exterior visual survey of site conditions. DISTRICT WestEd shall also make a good-faith effort to verify the accuracy of the existing record as-built drawings and provide any supplemental information to Architect which may not be shown on the existing record as-built drawings. Architect shall not be responsible for the accuracy of the existing record drawings, except to the extent that any inaccuracy should have been detected by the Architect, pursuant to its standard of care, from readily available documents and visual observations of existing conditions.
