Common use of Financial Obligations of the Academy Clause in Contracts

Financial Obligations of the Academy. are Separate from the State of Michigan, University Board and the University. Any contract, mortgage, loan or other instrument of indebtedness entered into by the Academy and a third party shall not in any way constitute an obligation, either general, special, or moral, of the State of Michigan, the University Board, or the University. Neither the full faith and credit nor the taxing power of the State of Michigan or any agency of the State, nor the full faith and credit of the University Board or the University shall ever be assigned or pledged for the payment of any Academy contract, agreement, note, mortgage, loan or other instrument of indebtedness.
