Firefighters Under the Two Platoon System. (1) In the first part calendar year of service, vacation will be granted on the basis of one-twelfth (1/12) of eight (8) duty shifts for each month or portion of a month greater than one-half (½) worked by December 31st, subject to provisions of Section 6.02(7). (2) During the second (2nd) calendar year of service, eight (8) duty shifts, less any duty shifts earned during the employee's probationary period in the second calendar year of service and which were paid pursuant to the provisions of Section 6.02(7).
