Floating Personal Holiday. Beginning January 1, 2016, cCareer status employees will accrue two (2) eight (8) -hour floating personal holidays in January of each year. Bargaining Unit Members hired January 1, 2016 or later shall receive one (1) floating holiday during their first year of employment.Probationary status employees will accrue one (1) eight (8)-hour personal holiday in January of each year. Floating Personal holidays may be used by an employee, with the prior approval of their supervisor on any work shift requested by the employee. Operational needs shall be the determining factor in the Supervisor’s approval or denial of such leave requests.
