FLU PREVENTION. The Coalition and Xxxxxx Permanente are committed to the highest standards of patient safety and employee health. Accordingly, Xxxxxx Permanente and the Coalition agree that effective October 1, 2015, all health care workers will be required to have received a seasonal influenza vaccination or, if they decline for any reason, to wear a surgical mask for the duration of the influenza season while working in patient care areas. Prior to October 1, 2015, the Coalition and Xxxxxx Permanente will develop guidelines and policies for flu vaccination.
