Common use of For Cause or Convenience Clause in Contracts

For Cause or Convenience. This grant contract may be cancelled by the STATE or COUNTY at any time, with or without cause, upon thirty (30) days written notice to the other party. In the event of such a cancellation, COUNTY shall be entitled to payment, determined on a pro rata basis, for work or services satisfactorily performed. The STATE has the right to suspend or terminate this grant contract immediately when the STATE deems the health or welfare of the service recipients is endangered, when the STATE has reasonable cause to believe that the COUNTY has breached a material term of the grant contract, or when COUNTY'S non-compliance with the terms of the grant contract may jeopardize federal financial participation.
