Common use of Forfeiture for Violation Clause in Contracts

Forfeiture for Violation. CONTRACTOR shall, as a penalty to the CITY, forfeit one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each calendar day or portion thereof for each worker paid (either by the CONTRACTOR or any subcontractor under it) less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as set by the Director of Industrial Relations, in accordance with Sections 1770-1780 of the California Labor Code for the work provided for in this Contract, all in accordance with Section 1775 of the Labor Code of the State of California.
