Common use of Free of Royalties and Other Burdens Clause in Contracts

Free of Royalties and Other Burdens. The Interests shall be free of (and without deduction therefrom of) any and all royalties and other burdens on production and shall bear no part of same; and Grantor shall defend, indemnify and hold Grantee harmless from and against any loss or claim with respect to any such royalties and other burdens on production or any claim by the owners or holders of such royalties and other burdens on production. For greater certainty, all payments made hereunder shall be net of any withholdings or other amounts, if and to the extent required by applicable law, in respect of applicable taxes thereon.
