Funding and Availability. 20 1. Subject to funding, NKEA members who qualify in accordance with the BEST Grant will have 21 the opportunity to work with a Mentor. In addition to the mentor stipend funding, the District 22 will make $1,000 per eligible member available for a Building Support Person or other costs 23 as proposed by the Mentee and Mentor and approved by the program director. Options and 24 resources shall be communicated during orientation. 25 2. Participation as a Mentee, Mentor, or Building Support Person is voluntary at the member 26 level. If a Mentee declines an initial opportunity to be assigned a Mentor or Building Support 27 Person, the District may continue to offer support, however a Mentor or Building Support 28 Person may not be available at a later date. 29 3. The Mentor, Mentee, and Building Support Person shall not participate in or contribute to 30 the District performance evaluation of each other.
