Gate Leaf Lift Plan. The Contractor shall submit to the Government a Gate Leaf Lift Plan that demonstrates how individual gate leafs will be picked, load path flown, and set into their final position for storage. The Gate Leaf Lift Plan shall include at a minimum: ▇. ▇▇▇▇▇ equipment to be used with loading charts and cut sheets. b. Position of crane barge(s)for lifting. c. Any and all ancillary equipment such as spreader beams, attachment device(s) to the gate sections, slings, wire ropes, etc. that make up the entire rigging system to the hook of the crane shall be submitted for approval. Cut sheets and product information shall be provided that demonstrate that each component of the rigging system has adequate strength to support all loads imposed on it during lifting. d. All lifting elements shall be designed in accordance with ASME BTH-1-2017. Design calculations for these elements shall be included. All calculations shall be stamped by a registered professional engineer. e. Calculations shall be included that show the reaction forces from the attachment device(s) to the gate sections will not overstress any portion or component of the gate sections. All calculations shall be stamped by a registered professional engineer. The current version of the AISC steel construction manual shall be used as a basis to calculate demand and capacity of members and connections.
