GENERAL AND MISCELLANEOUS. (a) Subject to applicable law, reasonable smoking and refreshments during hours of duty will be permitted in designated areas, provided an employee shall not leave the job to indulge in such smoking and refreshments without permission. (b) The Company agrees that there shall be no established maximum age limit in the hiring of employees. (c) As appropriate, staff shall be provided with customer contact uniforms or workwear to the specifications stated in the Company’s Uniform regulations without cost to the employee. Employees losing such garments shall be required to replace same at their own expense. When an employee leaves the service of the Company, such garments will be returned to the Company. Employees required to wear a uniform must report for the start of their shift in uniform. British Airways will assist in the laundering and cleaning of uniforms in the following manner: 1. Each affected employee will receive by December 15th of each year the sum of $250.00 to cover all cleaning and laundering costs incurred during the year. This amount will be pro-rated for employees who may have worked less than a full year. Employees assigned to Special Services will be eligible to receive such payment. 2. This allowance shall not apply to employees whose uniforms are presently being delivered or laundered at Company expense by an out- side cleaning service. Employees who wear uniforms which are laundered by the Company will be issued a minimum of five (5) shirts and two (2) pairs of trousers each week. 3. This reimbursement shall not apply to extraordinary expenses such as repairs or alterations. 4. British Airways reserves the right to change this procedure by contracting with a service which will provide cleaning and laundering of entire uniforms at Company expense. Such change would be made at the beginning of the calendar year. (d) A place shall be provided inside all Company shops and hangars marked “International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers” where Union notices of interest to the employees will be posted; however, no political circulars, propaganda or advertisements will be placed on these bulletin boards. (e) The Company shall provide each employee covered by this Agreement with a copy of the Agreement printed in a Union shop and bound in a convenient pocket-size booklet. (f) It is understood and agreed that the Company will not lock out any employee covered hereby, and the Union will not authorize or take part in any strike, or picketing of Company premises during the life of this Agreement, until the procedures for settling disputes as provided herein, and as provided by the Railway Labor Act as amended, have been exhausted. (g) The Chairperson of Shop Stewards across all Agreements shall be scheduled to work within the operation four hours per day. The other four hours, per day, of his/her work day he/she shall be considered over and above the normal requirements for that shift and he/she will be free to conduct union related affairs under the Agreements and in so doing will get clearance from his/her Section Head or his designee to enter work areas. However, it is understood that the provisions of Article I (b) will apply relative to such activities. For purposes of disciplinary hearings, an employee may request the Chairperson of Shop Stewards, provided the Chairperson is from the employee’s respective contract, or the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx from their respective contract to act as their representative. The representative will be released from duty to attend the hearing, subject to operational requirements, paid for lost straight time hours and, if required, provided with free space available travel in line with agreed pass policies. The hearing will be rescheduled as necessary until such time as the Company can release the representative from duty. (h) The IAM Negotiating Committee may consist of two employee representatives per contract. The President & Directing General Chairperson of District 142 will be the one who determines whether it will be one or two representatives per contract. British Airways will pay the wages of one (1) union representative per contract during negotiations, but not overtime. Expenses will be the responsibility of the IAM. When Shop Stewards or other employees wish to undertake union activities at the request of the IAMAW, the Company, subject to operational requirements and without pay, will endeavor to release them. (i) Any employee leaving the service of the Company will, on request, be furnished with a letter setting forth the individual’s qualifications and length of service. (j) If new equipment is put into service by the Company, employees shall be given every opportunity to become familiar with the new equipment without change in classification. (k) British Airways will handle Caledonian Airways flights that operate to JFK. At stations outside JFK manned by employees covered by this Agreement, BA will bid to handle Caledonian Airways on a competitive basis who will be free to accept the most competitive bid. Caledonian Airways flights to other destinations will not be handled by British Airways. Any charter flights operated by BA to manned on-line stations will be handled by employees covered by this Agreement. Flights into locations not manned by BA shall be handled at the Company’s discretion. (l) All Ops II qualified staff in Customer Service will be provided with route familiarization flights subject to Company requirements. The Company reserves the right to select the route to be flown. However every effort will be made to select the route which will provide the optimum amount of applicable experience. (m) Full-time employees will be permitted to engage in an outside profession, trade, or business while employed by British Airways. Full-time employees who wish to engage in outside profession, trade or business while employed by British Airways will be required to: (1) Provide to the People Department written notice of their secondary employer details (name of secondary employer/company, address and telephone contact, and number of hours regularly scheduled to work) prior to starting the new job/occupation. (2) Employees who are absent from work due to illness, short or long term disability or occupational injury may not engage in a secondary occupation without permission from the People Department.

Fines for lost ID’s will be paid by the Company on the first occasion; any fines for subsequent loss will be paid by the employee. In accordance with past practice, the Company will assist its employees in dealing with the agencies involved regarding such fines. The President & Directing General Chairperson Company will provide necessary information to its employees regarding restrictions on ID use.
(q) Effective January 1, 2019, and for the term of District 142 this Agreement, the Company will start a program that provides paid vision insurance for all employees under this agreement with an implementation date yet to be determined. For all new-hire employees hired after the date of signing of this Agreement, there shall be a twelve (12) month waiting period to enroll. All plan guidelines are covered by, and contained in, the plan document controlled by the Company. Additional tiered coverage shall also be made available to family members of the employee at a cost that will be paid by the one employee. Any annual cost increases to the vision coverage for additional family members, shall be controlled by the plan document and communicated concurrently during the annual enrollment.
(r) Aer Lingus will guarantee for the life of the contract any employee covered by this contract who determines whether is currently working at the Jericho facility a job in a brick and mortar location if they choose. This may not necessarily be at the current location but within a 50-mile radius. The IAM agrees the minimum staffing levels in employees covered by this agreement can reduce by attrition. The Company will no longer be required to back fill to maintain 15 full-time positions in the brick and mortar call center. The brick and mortar call center staffing level can drop below 5 full time employees under the Reservations Agent Agreement (Senior Reservations Agents, Reservations Agents, Ticketing Agent, and Senior Cargo Reservation Agent) provided that any of those 5 employees have requested to work from home. Before the brick and mortar call center staffing level can drop below 5 full-time employees under the Reservations Agent Agreement (Senior Reservations Agent, Reservations Agent, Ticketing Agent, Senior Cargo Reservations Agent, and Cargo Reservations Agent) the Company will be required to agree and discuss with the union a new full-time staff minimum. If there is no agreement, then it will be one resolved through the grievance process. The Company will have the right to operate a single shift operation Monday – Friday at the brick and mortar call center and operate the call center remotely on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and evenings after 6:00 p.m. The closing shift Senior Agent and weekend Senior Agent will work remotely. When Senior Agents who are working remotely are at lunch or two representatives per contract. British Airways will pay experiencing any technical malfunctions and there is a requirement for an upgrade and there is no available qualified staff member in the wages of one (1) union representative per contract during negotiationsbrick and mortar call center, but not overtime. 4. The Company shall cause to be printed and distributed to each employee a copy of this Agreement and shall provide the AMFA with fifty (k50) British Airways copies of the Labor Agreement.
5. Airline trip passes will handle Caledonian Airways flights that operate be issued to JFKqualified employees in accordance with existing Company policy.
6. At stations outside JFK manned Any deviation from this Agreement may be made by mutual agreement between the Company and the AMFA. Such mutual agreement must be in writing and signed by the parties thereto.
7. The Company shall continue to allow employees a reasonable amount of time to "wash-up" prior to punching out.
8. Foremen and higher ranking officials shall not be permitted to perform work of any hourly rated job covered by this AgreementAgreement except in emergencies or instructing.
9. Where employees have become physically unable to perform their regular work, BA will bid to handle Caledonian Airways on a competitive basis who will be free temporary basis, the Union and the Company shall cooperate in attempting to accept the most competitive bidplace such employees in a position within their classification for which they are qualified and able to perform, or by mutual agreement in any other position for which they are qualified and able to perform, not to exceed eight (8) weeks. When an Employee becomes physically unable to perform their regular work, on a permanent basis, the Union and the Company shall cooperate in Customer Service will be provided with route familiarization flights subject to Company requirements. The Company reserves the right to select the route to be flown. However every effort will be made to select the route which will provide the optimum amount of applicable experience.
(m) Full-time employees will be permitted to engage in an outside profession, trade, or business while employed by British Airways. Full-time employees who wish to engage in outside profession, trade or business while employed by British Airways will be required to:
(1) Provide referring such Employee to the People Department written notice for possible placement in a position they are physically capable of their secondary employer details performing. Employee’s referred for placement shall be covered by the provisions of this Agreement until placed outside of the bargaining unit.
11. The employee will be allowed four (name 4) work days leave with pay at the employee's regular rate of secondary employer/companypay for the purpose of attending the funeral of a member of his or her immediate family. Such days shall be taken within the days immediately preceding and/or following the funeral. Members of the immediate family shall consist of the employee's mother, address father, or legal guardian in lieu thereof, spouse, children, brother, sister, grandparents, mother-in-law and telephone contactfather-in-law, and number step- parents, step children, committed or registered partners. If additional days are required, such days may be taken without pay or deducted from the employee's vacation allowance. If at any point during the duration of hours this Agreement, should another employee group obtain a bereavement allowance greater than four (4) work days, the Company agrees that such allowance shall apply to the Appearance Technician.
12. If an employee's regularly scheduled work shift begins on one calendar day and extends into the following calendar day, the "day" worked (for determining pay and holidays, etc.) shall be considered to work) prior to starting be the new job/occupationday on which his shift started.
13. All orders or notices to an employee covered by the Agreement involving a transfer, promotion, demotion, layoff, discipline, or leave of absence shall be given in writing with a copy to the Union. No letter or notice for violation of Company rules will be used in the determining of discipline if such notice has been in the employee's file for twelve (212) months and there has been no recurrence of the same offense within the twelve (12) month period. All letter or reprimand or warning will be removed from an employee's file after twelve (12) months from date letter is placed in the file.
14. When an employee passes his probationary period he will be issued a set of five (5) uniforms. One year after being issued a set of uniforms the employee should have his set of uniforms evaluated by his supervisor to determine the need for replacements. Each Employee will utilize the automated uniform ordering process made available to all covered Employees who are absent from work due by the Company to illnessorder new or additional uniforms. Each Employee will be given an expense account with a minimum dollar amount equal to five complete uniform sets per year. All employees wearing Company furnished uniforms will abide by the general appearance code for maintenance employees.

(e) Service records shall be maintained for all employees by the Company, and upon written request, the employee shall be furnished with a record of same upon termination of employment. In discharge cases, the employee and his Union Representative shall have access to the personnel records applicable to the case, prior to the holding of any investigation. An employee and his Union Representative shall be permitted to check his sick leave and overtime record. An employee may, upon request, review his service record, and shall be given a copy of anything placed in his service record other than standard Company payroll forms, etc. All warning letters or disciplinary letters will automatically be removed from the employee’s file after 2 years from the date of issue and the warning letters or disciplinary letters removed will not be used in any hearings. Thereafter, any discipline letters issued after ratification of this agreement will remain in the file for two (2) years.
(f) The Company will furnish to the Local Lodge President and District 142 Representative the names and classifications of all new employees, and will furnish a listing of all resignations, discharges, and changes in status.
(g) The Company shall provide a locked, glass-enclosed Union Bulletin Board in each shop or facility, with the key to be retained by the Local Union President. The board will be identified with the words "International Association of Machinists-Local Lodge 1759".
(h) The Company reserves the right to lay-off, suspend, or discharge any employee(s) at any time for violation of the Company's rules or regulations consistent with this Agreement, or other justifiable cause.
(i) No employee shall use his own vehicle on Company business unless approved in writing by the Company
(j) Upon presentation to the Company of signed authorization cards in conformity with the law, the Company will deduct dues and transmit same to the Union at its designated office no later than the 10th of the month following the month deductions were withheld. The Company shall, after notification by the Union, deduct all amounts in arrears as specified by the Union.
(k) The Company shall deduct from payroll deposits to the Credit Union, providing the employees submit signed authorization for this purpose, and the Company shall remit said moneys to the Credit Union electronically on a weekly basis.
(l) The Company agrees to furnish each employee covered by this Agreement with a booklet copy of the Agreement printed in Agreement. The District 142 Representative shall be furnished a Union shop and bound in a convenient pocket-size bookletreasonable number of copies.

GENERAL AND MISCELLANEOUS. (c) As appropriate, staff shall be provided with customer contact uniforms Client agrees that Programmer may deduct from any five- minute period or workwear to the specifications stated in the Company’s Uniform regulations without cost to the employee. Employees losing such garments shall be required to replace same at their own expense. When an employee leaves the service of the Company, such garments will be returned to the Company. Employees required to wear a uniform must report longer not more than thirty seconds for the start of their shift in uniform. British Airways will assist in the laundering and cleaning of uniforms in the following manner:
1. Each affected employee will receive by December 15th of each year the sum of $250.00 to cover all cleaning and laundering costs incurred during the year. This amount will be prostation-rated for employees who may have worked less than a full year. Employees assigned to Special Services will be eligible to receive such payment.

4. The Company shall be responsible for printing and distribution to each employee a copy of this Agreement and shall provide the Teamsters -Airline Division with twenty (20) copies of the Labor Agreement.
5. Airline trip passes will be issued to qualified employees in accordance with Existing Company policy. In the event the Company establishes a more favorable policy in the future, that policy shall prevail.
6. Any deviation from this Agreement may be made by mutual agreement between the Company and the Teamsters- Airline Division. Such mutual agreement must be in writing and signed by the parties thereto.
7. The Company shall allow employees a reasonable amount of time to “wash-up” prior to punching out.
8. Supervisors and higher ranking officials shall not be permitted to perform work of any hourly rated job covered by this Agreement except in emergencies or instructing or training of employees or troubleshooting.
9. Where employees have become physically unable to perform their regular work, the Union and the Company shall cooperate in attempting to place such employees in a position within their classification for which they are qualified and able to perform, or by mutual agreement in a lower classification for which they are qualified and able to perform.
10. When a death or critical illness (impending death) occurs in an employee’s immediate family, the employee will receive up to three (3) working days off at straight time pay, depending on the employee’s needs. Further days off may be taken without pay or the employee may use vacation days. The immediate family includes: Employee’s spouse, children, parents, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents or grandchildren.
11. If an employee’s regularly scheduled work shift begins on one calendar day and extends into the following calendar day, the “day” worked (for determining pay and holidays, etc.) shall be considered to be the day on which his shift started.
12. All orders or notices to an employee covered by the Agreement involving a transfer, promotion, demotion, layoff, discipline, or leave of absence shall be given every opportunity in writing with a copy to become familiar with the new equipment without change in classification.

GENERAL AND MISCELLANEOUS. (lp) All Ops II qualified staff in Customer Service At JFK only, towing and headset for technical reasons and light GSE maintenance (e.g. checking fluids, checking tire pressure, changing if required) will fall under the Maintenance Representative/Mechanic job description. A Maintenance Representative/Xxxxxxxx(s) will be provided with route familiarization flights subject assigned, by management, to Company requirementsperform desk duties, including EWS and signaling. Management will have the right to perform these duties if there is a requirement for the Maintenance Representative/Xxxxxxxx assigned the desk function to work on aircraft. It will be at the company’s discretion to determine whether the work of, post de-icing inspection and associated paperwork, will continue to be performed by the Maintenance Representative/Mechanic or some other party. This will not be done on an ad hoc basis. The Company reserves will notify the right Union prior to select the route to be flown. (r) The Company will be free to determine who performs the functions of all non-technical work including towing and push backs, head set operation, technical manual revisions and storage, ground service connections (air conditioning, electrical, fueling, lavatory), opening and closing of panels for ground service connections, opening of cabin doors, vehicle maintenance, ground equipment maintenance, wing-walking, marshalling. re-fueling and de-icing of airplanes including associated company paperwork, removing and replacing chocks, and sending required messages. In emergency situations, management may assign British Airways Mechanics and/or Maintenance Representatives to perform any of the above functions.
(s) Non-normal maintenance, such as the type carried out by small specialist AOG teams, can be carried out by such. The engineering staff will match, as far as staff can be made available from the operation, man for man, for the compliment of AOG team members working on said aircraft. For engineering major repairs that require specialized manufacturers repair teams that consist of over SIX (6) persons, the Company and Union will meet to discuss limited staffing.
(t) It is hereby mutually agreed and understood that the Company agrees to continue its present practice of paying the cost of parking at Airports where employees covered in this Agreement are located. (jk) If new equipment is put into service by the Company, employees covered by this Agreement shall be given every opportunity to become familiar with appropriate familiarization training on the new equipment without change in of classification.
(kl) British Airways will handle Caledonian Airways flights that operate to JFK. At stations outside JFK manned by employees Employees covered by this Agreement, BA will bid Agreement shall not be required to handle Caledonian Airways work on a competitive basis who aircraft outside of hangars during inclement weather when hangar space is available to the Company. (o) Any charter flights operated by BA to manned on-line stations will be handled by employees covered by this Agreement. Flights into locations not manned by BA shall be handled at the Company’s 's discretion.
(lp) All Ops II qualified staff in Customer Service At JFK only, towing and headset for technical reasons and light GSE maintenance (e.g. checking fluids, checking tire pressure, changing if required) will fall under the Maintenance Representative/Mechanic job description. A Maintenance Representative/Mechanic(s) will be provided with route familiarization flights subject assigned, by management, to Company requirementsperform desk duties, including EWS and signaling. Management will have the right to perform these duties if there is a requirement for the Maintenance Representative/Mechanic assigned the desk function to work on aircraft. It will be at the company’s discretion to determine whether the work of, post de-icing inspection and associated paperwork, will continue to be performed by the Maintenance Representative/Mechanic or some other party. This will not be done on an ad hoc basis. The Company reserves will notify the right Union prior to select the route to be flown. (2) Employees who are absent from work due to illness, short or long term disability or occupational injury may not engage in a secondary occupation without permission from the People Department.
(r) The Company will be free to determine who performs the functions of all non-technical work including towing and push backs, head set operation, technical manual revisions and storage, ground service connections (air conditioning, electrical, fuelling, lavatory), opening and closing of panels for ground service connections, opening of cabin doors, vehicle maintenance, ground equipment maintenance, wing-walking, marshalling. re-fueling and de- icing of airplanes including associated company paperwork, removing and replacing chocks, and sending required messages. In emergency situations, management may assign British Airways Mechanics and/or Maintenance Representatives to perform any of the above functions.
(s) At JFK, if there is a manager on shift and there is an unplanned need for him to perform work that is covered by the engineering collective bargaining agreement, then it shall not be deemed a violation of the agreement if he does so, provided the manager notifies the senior maintenance representative on duty. This paragraph is not intended to eliminate overtime opportunities in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. GENERAL AND MISCELLANEOUS. (a) Subject to applicable lawService records shall be maintained for all employees by the Company, reasonable smoking and refreshments during hours of duty upon resignation or discharge from service the employee, upon request, will be permitted in designated areas, provided furnished with a letter of same. In discharge cases the employee and his District Representative will have access to the service records applicable to the case prior to the holding of any investigation. 2. This allowance shall not apply to employees whose uniforms are presently being delivered or laundered at Company expense by an out- side cleaning service. Employees who wear uniforms which are laundered by the Company will be issued a minimum of five (5) shirts and two (2) pairs of trousers each week.
3. This reimbursement shall not apply to extraordinary expenses such as repairs or alterations.
4. British Airways reserves the right to change this procedure by contracting with a service which will provide cleaning and laundering of entire uniforms at Company expense. Such change would be made at the beginning of the calendar year.
(d) A place shall be provided inside all Company shops and hangars marked “International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers” where Union notices of interest to the employees will be posted; however, no political circulars, propaganda or advertisements will be placed on these bulletin boards.
(e) The Company shall provide each employee covered by this Agreement with a copy of the Agreement.
(d) All orders or assignments of work issues to personnel shall be relayed through the respective Supervisor or Senior Agent, to eliminate misunderstanding or disorder.
(e) Nothing in this Agreement printed shall prevent the Company from paying to an individual employee hereunder, a higher rate of compensation than the rate established in a Union shop and bound in a convenient pocket-size bookletthis Agreement.

All plan guidelines are covered by, and contained in, the plan document controlled by the Company. Additional tiered coverage shall also be made available to family members of the employee at a cost that will be paid by the employee. The engineering staff will match, as far as staff can be made available from the operation, man for man, for the compliment of AOG team members working on said aircraft. For engineering major repairs that require specialized manufacturers repair teams that consist of over SIX (6) persons, the Company and Union will meet to discuss limited staffing.

4. The Company shall cause to be printed and distributed to each employee a copy of this Agreement and shall provide the Teamsters -Airline Division with fifty (50) copies of the Labor Agreement.
5. Airline trip passes will be issued to qualified employees in accordance with existing Company policy.
6. Any deviation from this Agreement may be made by mutual agreement between the Company and the Teamsters - Airline Division. Such mutual agreement must be in writing and signed by the parties thereto.
7. The Company shall continue to allow employees fifteen (15) minutes a reasonable amount of time to "wash-up" prior to punching out.
8. Supervisors and higher ranking officials not covered by this Agreement shall not be permitted to perform work of any hourly rate job except, instructing, training or in the case of emergencies, in which prior Union representative notification cannot occur, instructing, or training. or to help cover a shift until an hourly replacement employee is available (except as provided in Articles 2 and 4)
9. Where employees have become physically unable to perform their regular work, the Union and the Company shall cooperate in attempting to place such employees in a position, within their classification for which they are qualified and able to perform.
10. The employee will be allowed four (4) work days leave with pay at the employee's regular rate of pay for the purpose of attending the funeral of a member of his or her immediate family. Such days shall be taken within the days immediately, preceding and/or following the funeral. Members of the immediate family shall consist of the employee's mother, father, or legal guardian in lieu thereof, step-parents, step-children, spouse, children, brother, sister, grandparents, mother-in-law and father-in-law. If additional days are required, such days may be taken without pay or deducted from the employee's vacation allowance.
11. If an employee's regularly scheduled work shift begins on one (1) calendar day and extends into the following calendar day, the "day" worked (for determining pay and holidays, etc.) shall be considered to be the day on which his shift started.
12. All orders or notices to an employee covered by the Agreement involving a transfer, promotion, demotion, layoff, discipline, or leave of absence shall be given every opportunity in writing with a copy to become familiar the Union. No letter of notice for violation of Company rules will be used in the determining of discipline if such notice has been in the employee's file for twelve (12) months and there has been no recurrence of the same offense within the twelve (12) month period. All letters of reprimands or warnings will be removed from an employee's file after twelve (12) months from date letter is placed in the file.
13. When an employee passes his probationary period he will be issued a set of five (5) uniforms. One year after being issued a set of uniforms, the employee should have his set of uniforms evaluated by his supervisor to determine the need for replacements. Each Employee will utilize the automated uniform ordering process made available to all covered Employees by the Company to order new or additional uniforms. Each Employee will be given an expense account with a minimum dollar amount equal to five complete uniform sets per year. Should any uniforms require replacement, an authorized requisition should be issued with the new equipment without change in classificationdepartment purchasing the uniforms for replacement. The employee and supervisor will evaluate his requirements each year thereafter. Should an employee's uniform show exceptional wear and tear during this interim, the employee should consult with his supervisor. All employees wearing Company furnished uniforms will abide by the general appearance code for maintenance employees.
(k) British Airways 14. The Company will handle Caledonian Airways flights that operate to JFKprovide a file drawer for the use of the Union. At stations outside JFK manned by Said file drawer shall be capable of being locked.
15. If there is any change during the life of this Agreement in the licenses employees covered by this AgreementAgreement are required to have, BA will bid to handle Caledonian Airways on a competitive basis who will be free to accept the most competitive bid. Caledonian Airways flights to other destinations will not be handled by British Airways. Any charter flights operated by BA to manned on-line stations will be handled by all employees covered by this Agreement. Flights into locations not manned by BA affected shall be handled given at least six (6) months from the Company’s discretion.
(l) All Ops II qualified staff in Customer Service will be provided with route familiarization flights subject date of such change to Company requirements. The Company reserves the right to select the route to be flown. However every effort will be made to select the route which will provide the optimum amount of applicable experience.
(m) Full-time employees will be permitted to engage in an outside profession, trade, or business while employed by British Airways. Full-time employees who wish to engage in outside profession, trade or business while employed by British Airways will be required to:
(1) Provide to the People Department written notice of their secondary employer details (name of secondary employer/company, address and telephone contactobtain each license, and number of hours regularly scheduled there shall be no change in their status to workpay during said six (6) prior to starting the new job/occupationmonth period.
(2) Employees who are absent from work due to illness, short or long term disability or occupational injury may not engage in a secondary occupation without permission from the People Department.

GENERAL AND MISCELLANEOUS. (a) Subject to applicable law, reasonable smoking and refreshments during hours of duty will be permitted in designated areas, provided an A. An employee covered under this Agreement shall not leave the job to indulge in such smoking and refreshments without permission.
(b) The Company agrees that there shall be no established maximum age limit in the hiring of employees.
(c) As appropriate, staff shall be provided with customer contact uniforms or workwear to the specifications stated in the Company’s Uniform regulations without cost to the employee. Employees losing such garments shall be required to replace same at their own expense. When an employee leaves pay for Company equipment unintentionally damaged.
B. All employees on the service active payroll of the Company, such garments will be returned to the Company. Employees required to wear a uniform must report for the start of their shift in uniform. British Airways will assist in the laundering and cleaning of uniforms in the following manner:
1. Each affected employee will receive by December 15th of each year the sum of $250.00 to cover all cleaning and laundering costs incurred during the year. This amount will be pro-rated for retired employees who may have worked less than a full year. Employees assigned to Special Services will be eligible to receive such payment.
2. This allowance shall not apply to employees whose uniforms are presently being delivered or laundered at Company expense by an out- side cleaning service. Employees who wear uniforms which are laundered by the Company will be issued a minimum of five least ten (510) shirts and two (2) pairs of trousers each week.
3. This reimbursement shall not apply to extraordinary expenses such as repairs or alterations.
4. British Airways reserves the right to change this procedure by contracting with a service which will provide cleaning and laundering of entire uniforms at Company expense. Such change would be made at the beginning of the calendar year.
(d) A place shall be provided inside all Company shops and hangars marked “International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers” where Union notices of interest to the employees will be posted; however, no political circulars, propaganda or advertisements will be placed on these bulletin boards.
(e) The Company shall provide each employee covered by this Agreement with a copy of the Agreement printed years in a Union shop and bound in a convenient pocket-size booklet.
(f) It is understood and agreed that the Company will not lock out any employee covered hereby, and the Union will not authorize or take part in any strike, or picketing of Company premises during the life of this Agreement, until the procedures for settling disputes as provided herein, and as provided by the Railway Labor Act as amended, have been exhausted.
(g) The Chairperson of Shop Stewards across all Agreements shall be scheduled to work within the operation four hours per day. The other four hours, per day, of his/her work day he/she shall be considered over and above the normal requirements for that shift and he/she will be free to conduct union related affairs under the Agreements and in so doing will get clearance from his/her Section Head or his designee to enter work areas. However, it is understood that the provisions of Article I (b) will apply relative to such activities. For purposes of disciplinary hearings, an employee may request the Chairperson of Shop Stewards, provided the Chairperson is from the employee’s respective contract, or the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx from their respective contract to act as their representative. The representative will be released from duty to attend the hearing, subject to operational requirements, paid for lost straight time hours and, if required, provided with free space available travel in line with agreed pass policies. The hearing will be rescheduled as necessary until such time as the Company can release the representative from duty.
(h) The IAM Negotiating Committee may consist of two employee representatives per contract. The President & Directing General Chairperson of District 142 will be the one who determines whether it will be one or two representatives per contract. British Airways will pay the wages of one (1) union representative per contract during negotiations, but not overtime. Expenses will be the responsibility of the IAM. When Shop Stewards or other employees wish to undertake union activities at the request of the IAMAW, the Company, subject to operational requirements and without pay, will endeavor to release them.
(i) Any employee leaving the service of the Company willand who are at least age 55, on requesttheir spouses and dependent children, and their parents, will be furnished with a letter setting forth subject to the individual’s qualifications and length pass policy of servicethe Company.
(j) C. A personnel file will be maintained on each employee which will contain all progress reports and written correspondence issued to him. Copies of all reports and correspondence will be available upon reasonable request for inspection by the employee, or an Association Officer with the written approval of the employee, during regular business hours. An employee will be advised and provided a copy of any material of a critical or negative nature at the time such material is placed in his personnel file.
D. An employee requested or required by the Company or an appropriate government agency to participate in an aircraft accident or incident investigation involving Company aircraft and personnel shall do so without loss of pay.
X. Xxxxxx party may, at any time, propose in writing any amendment, which it may desire to make to this Agreement. If new equipment such amendment is put agreed to by both the Company and the employees under this Agreement, then the amendment will be incorporated into service this Agreement.
F. The Company will make space available at each location where employees under this Agreement are stationed for an enclosed locking bulletin board to be supplied by the Association for the use of the Association for posting material relating to Association meetings, and other Association matters. Postings shall remain free of derogatory or inflammatory material with respect to the Company, employees its employees, or the Association.
G. After notification of the Company, the airline representative or his delegate may be granted an opportunity during a lunch or break period to distribute information to new hires about the Association.
H. The Company and the Association will share equally in the cost of reproducing this Agreement in an easy to read format. Each employee shall be given every opportunity provided with a copy of this Agreement within thirty (30) days after ratification or any changes. The number of copies reproduced shall be such that ten (10) copies will be kept by the Association for its use and another ten (10) copies will be kept by the Company for its use, in addition to become familiar with the new equipment without change in classificationcopies reproduced for the employees.
(k) British Airways will handle Caledonian Airways flights that operate to JFK. At stations outside JFK manned by employees covered by this Agreement, BA will bid to handle Caledonian Airways on a competitive basis who will be free to accept the most competitive bid. Caledonian Airways flights to other destinations will not be handled by British Airways. Any charter flights operated by BA to manned on-line stations will be handled by employees covered by this Agreement. Flights into locations not manned by BA shall be handled at the Company’s discretion.

(fh) All orders or assignments of work issues to personnel shall be relayed through the respective Supervisor or Senior Agent, to eliminate misunderstanding or disorder.
(i) Nothing in this Agreement shall prevent the Company from paying to an individual employee hereunder, a higher rate of compensation than the rate established in this Agreement.
(j) It is understood and agreed that the Company will not lock out any employee covered hereby, and the Union will not authorize or take part in any strike, strike or picketing of the Company premises during the life of this Agreement, until the procedures for settling disputes as provided herein, herein and as provided by the Railway Labor Act Act, as amended, have been exhausted.
(gk) The Chairperson of Shop Stewards across all Agreements shall be scheduled It is forbidden for any employee to engage in drinking alcoholic beverages while in uniform or when on duty, or to come to work within the operation four hours per day. The other four hours, per day, of his/her work day he/she shall be considered over and above the normal requirements for that shift and he/she will be free to conduct union related affairs under the Agreements and in so doing will get clearance from his/her Section Head or his designee to enter work areas. However, it is understood that the provisions influence of Article I (b) will apply relative to such activities. For purposes of disciplinary hearings, an employee may request the Chairperson of Shop Stewards, provided the Chairperson is from the employee’s respective contractalcohol, or the Chief Shop Xxxxxxx from their respective contract to act as their representative. The representative will be released from duty to attend the hearing, subject to operational requirements, paid for lost straight time hours and, if required, provided with free space available travel in line with agreed pass policies. (o) It shall not be considered a violation of the Agreement for the Company to sell its products on-line.
(p) Staff will be required to pay fines imposed by the Port Authority/Federal Agency for unauthorized access to restricted areas, improper use of identification Cards and similar types of conduct. Fines for lost ID’s will be paid by the Company on the first occasion; any fines for subsequent loss will be paid by the employee. In accordance with past practice, the Company will assist its employees in dealing with the agencies involved regarding such fines. The President & Directing General Chairperson Company will provide necessary information to its employees regarding restrictions on ID use.
(q) Effective January 1, 2019, and for the term of District 142 this Agreement, the Company will start a program that provides paid vision insurance for all employees under this agreement with an implementation date yet to be determined. For all new-hire employees hired after the date of signing of this Agreement, there shall be a twelve (12) month waiting period to enroll. All plan guidelines are covered by, and contained in, the plan document controlled by the Company. Additional tiered coverage shall also be made available to family members of the employee at a cost that will be paid by the one employee. Any annual cost increases to the vision coverage for additional family members shall be controlled by the plan document and communicated concurrently during the annual enrollment.
(r) Aer Lingus will guarantee for the life of the contract any employee covered by this contract who determines whether is currently working at the Jericho facility a job in a brick-and-mortar location if they choose. This may not necessarily be at the current location but within a 50-mile radius. The IAM agrees the minimum staffing levels in employees covered by this agreement can reduce by attrition. The Company will no longer be required to back fill to maintain 15 full-time positions in the brick-and-mortar call center. The brick-and- mortar call center staffing level can drop below 5 full time employees under the Reservations Agent Agreement (Senior Reservations Agents, Reservations Agents, Ticketing Agent, and Senior Cargo Reservation Agent) provided that any of those 5 employees have requested to work from home. Before the brick-and-mortar call center staffing level can drop below 5 full-time employees under the Reservations Agent Agreement (Senior Reservations Agent, Reservations Agent, Ticketing Agent, Senior Cargo Reservations Agent, and Cargo Reservations Agent) the Company will be required to agree and discuss with the union a new full-time staff minimum. If there is no agreement, then it will be one resolved through the grievance process. The Company will have the right to operate a single shift operation Monday – Friday at the brick-and-mortar call center and operate the call center remotely on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and evenings after 6:00 p.m. The closing shift Senior Agent and weekend Senior Agent will work remotely. When Senior Agents who are working remotely are at lunch or two representatives per contract. British Airways will pay experiencing any technical malfunctions and there is a requirement for an upgrade and there is no available qualified staff member in the wages of one (1) union representative per contract during negotiationsbrick-and-mortar call center, but not overtime. Expenses the most senior staff member covered by this Agreement who is working remotely will be the responsibility of the IAMupgraded. When Shop Stewards or other employees wish to undertake union activities at the request of the IAMAW, the Company, subject to operational requirements and without pay, will endeavor to release them.
