General Business Associate Use and Disclosure Provisions. Except as otherwise limited in this BAA/DUA, AANI may Use or Disclose PHI on behalf of, or in order to provide services to, Participant to the extent such Use or Disclosure is reasonably necessary to facilitate Participant’s participation in the Registry, consistent with the Participation Agreement, provided that such Use or Disclosure of PHI would not violate the HIPAA Regulations if done by Participant. In providing these services, AANI will be acting as an independent contractor and not as an employee or agent of Participant. AANI shall have no authority, express or implied, to commit or obligate Participant in any manner whatsoever.
