General Closing Days. The Allegan Area Educational Service Agency and the Educational Staff Association of Allegan Intermediate agree that the Employer shall continue its practice of issuing an annual memorandum to employees about reporting on “general closing days” such as snow days. The memorandum shall continue to advise employees expected to report for work on such days, and who determine it is unsafe to do so, that they may use business leave, accumulated vacation leave or flex time if they are unable to report for work. For the purpose of school closure procedures and reporting requirements, the terms “Instructional Staff” and “Non- Instructional Staff” are clarified in the annual memo issued by the superintendent regarding “Inclement Weather, School Closure, Delayed Starts, Early Dismissals as attached in Exhibit B.
