Common use of General Construction Standards Clause in Contracts

General Construction Standards. All construction, alteration, modification or repairs permitted herein shall be accomplished by Lessee with due diligence. Lessee shall take all commercially reasonable steps to minimize any damage, disruption or inconvenience caused by such work and make adequate provisions for the safety and convenience of all persons affected thereby. Lessee shall repair, at its own cost and expense, any and all damage caused by such work, and shall restore the area upon which such work is performed to a condition which is at least equal to or better than the condition which existed before such work was commenced. Additionally, Lessee shall pay or cause to be paid all costs and expenses associated therewith and shall indemnify, defend and hold County harmless from and against all damages, costs, expenses, losses or claims arising out of or in connection with the performance of such work, except to the extent that such damages, costs, expenses, losses or claims are caused by County, its employees, contractors or agents. Dust, noise and other effects of such work shall be controlled using accepted measures customarily utilized in order to control materially adverse effects associated with construction projects in well populated and developed areas of Southern California.
