GEOGRAPHICAL DESCRIPTION a) Location and Administrative Framework Tanzania is located in East Africa between longitude, 29º and 41º east and latitude 1º and 12º south. It has total area of about 945,087 km2. It is bordered by Kenya and Uganda to the North, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo to the West, Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique to the South and Indian Ocean to the East.
