Common use of Government Access Requests Clause in Contracts

Government Access Requests. If DocStar or its subcontractor receives a request for Customer Data directly from a law enforcement agency, then DocStar will redirect the law enforcement agency to request that data directly from Customer. If compelled to disclose Customer Data to law enforcement, DocStar will promptly notify the Customer and provide a copy of the demand, unless legally prohibited from doing so. If required by law, Customer will notify individuals that are data subjects within the Customer Data that their data may be disclosed to law enforcement or other governmental authorities and obtain the individuals’ consent to the same.
