Common use of Government Funding Clause in Contracts

Government Funding. Parents who qualify for Free Entitlement Hours will have an amount equivalent to this entitlement deducted from their invoice. Any fees over and above the Free Entitlement Hours, or other agreed subsidy, are the parents’ responsibility and are payable at the beginning of the month in arrears in accordance with this agreement. The compulsory daily charge for the morning snack is 50p, regardless of whether your child eats it or not. This is not covered by government funding for 3+ year olds and is payable by the parent. It is covered by government funding for 2-year olds, meaning no additional charge will be applied. Further information as to Government Funding and its application at Pre-School is set out in our Administration Policy (available on our website OR attached to this agreement at Annex 1) ILLNESS POLICY Please advise Pre-School prior to 8.30am if a child will not be attending due to illness. Please do not email that your child will not be attending. Parents agree that a child who is ill (e.g. fever, infection, diarrhoea, communicable disease or any other type of illness that may be passed onto others, with the exception of the common cold) will be kept at home to protect the well-being of staff and other children in our care. Parents further agree, should a child become ill during our care, that immediate arrangements will be made to remove the child from Pre-School. Children cannot return to Pre-School until they have been symptom free for 24 hours for a fever and 48 hours for sickness or diarrhoea. In some cases, a note from a doctor may be necessary. You agree that staff should seek any emergency medical advice or treatment deemed necessary for the wellbeing of your child whilst at Pre-School. All subsidised payments must also be paid by the first of each month in advance. Parents agree that all monthly fees (full time and part time attendance) will be paid on the first of each month in advance. Additional sessions will be invoiced alongside normal fees and collected on the 1st of each month. Any fees payed later than the 5th of each month will be treated as unpaid fees and will be subject to an immediate Unpaid fees £20 late payment fee, if fees not received by the 7th day of the month. Unpaid fees may result in immediate suspension or termination of care unless reasonable arrangements are made and accepted by both parties.
