Common use of GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL Clause in Contracts

GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL. A Hospital operated by a government or any of its subdivisions or agencies, including, but not limited to, a Federal, military, state, county or city Hospital. GOVERNMENTAL PLAN. Has the meaning given that term under Title I, section 3 of Pub.L.93-406, the “Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974” and any governmental plan established or maintained for its employees by the Government of the United States or by any agency or instrumentality of that government. GROUP HEALTH BENEFITS PLAN. A policy, program or plan that provides medical benefits to a group of two or more individuals. GROUP HEALTH PLAN. An employee welfare benefit plan, as defined in Title I of section 3 of Pub.L.93-406, the “Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974” (ERISA) (29 U.S.C. § 1002(1)) to the extent that the plan provides medical care and includes items and services paid for as medical care to employees or their dependents directly or through insurance, reimbursement or otherwise.
