Common use of Government Lien Clause in Contracts

Government Lien. A notice of lien, levy or assessment is filed of record with respect to either a Borrower's or Guarantor’s assets by the United States government, or any department, agency or instrumentality thereof, or by any state, county, municipal or other governmental agency, or any tax or debt owing at any time hereafter to anyone becomes a lien, whether xxxxxx or otherwise, upon either Borrower's or Guarantor’s assets and the same is not paid on the payment date thereof, except such amounts as are being contested in good faith by appropriate legal or administrative proceedings.
