Common use of Governmental Rules and Regulations Clause in Contracts

Governmental Rules and Regulations. This Agreement and all operations hereunder shall be subject to all valid laws, orders, directives, rules, and regulations of any governmental body, agency, or official having jurisdiction in the premises, whether state or federal. Notwithstanding any other provisions in this Agreement, in the event the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission or other governmental authority imposes a rule, regulation, order, law or statute which directly or indirectly materially and adversely affects a party's ability to perform its obligations under this Agreement, then the party so affected may terminate this Agreement as to the xxxxx or portions of the Gathering System affected thereby by giving ten (10) days prior written notice to the other parties.
