Common use of Grant by Novartis Clause in Contracts

Grant by Novartis. Novartis hereby grants to Rigel and its Affiliates a nonexclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license during the Research Period for each Collaboration Project under the Novartis Technology and Novartis' interest in the Project Technology, subject to the terms of this Agreement, solely for the purpose of carrying out Rigel's responsibilities under the applicable Collaboration Project.
