Common use of Grant of Exploration Privilege Clause in Contracts

Grant of Exploration Privilege. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement and to the extent permitted by applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and ordinances, Lessor grants to Lessee the exclusive right and privilege to enter on the Property for the purposes of exploration and prospecting for minerals, mineral substances, metals, ore-bearing minerals and rocks of every kind, including the right of ingress end egress for personnel, machinery, equipment, supplies and products and the right to use so much of the surface and water located thereon as may be reasonably needed for such purposes.
