Common use of Grant of Patent License Clause in Contracts

Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, You hereby grant to LDBC and to recipients of software distributed by LDBC a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You that are necessarily infringed by Your Code Contribution(s) alone or by combination of Your Code Contribution(s) with the Work to which such Code Contribution(s) was submitted. If any entity institutes patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Contribution, or the Work to which you have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, You hereby grant to LDBC the Foundation and to recipients of software distributed by LDBC the Foundation a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, nofully-chargepaid, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You that are necessarily infringed by Your Code Contribution(s) alone or by combination of Your Code Contribution(s) with the Work to which such Code Contribution(s) was were submitted, as such Work existed as of the date of your Contribution(s). This patent license shall not apply to any other combinations which include the Contribution(s). If any entity (a “Litigant”) institutes patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Contribution, or the Work to which you have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity Litigant under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, You hereby grant to LDBC F5 and to recipients of software distributed by LDBC F5 a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, have imported, export, have exported, and otherwise transfer the Work, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You that are necessarily infringed by Your Code Contribution(s) alone or by combination of Your Code Contribution(s) with the Work to which such Code Contribution(s) was submitted. If any entity institutes patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Contribution, or the Work to which you have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory indirect patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, and provided you don’t have a conflict with previous commitment related to patent(s) contemplated by Your Contribution You hereby grant to LDBC the Project Manager and to recipients of software distributed by LDBC the Project Manager a perpetual, worldwide, non-non- exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You that are necessarily infringed by Your Code Contribution(s) alone or by combination of Your Code Contribution(s) with the Work to which such Code Contribution(s) was submitted. If any entity institutes patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Your Contribution, or the Work to which you You have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, You hereby grant to LDBC WDP and to recipients of software distributed by LDBC WDP a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer Your Contribution(s) and the Work, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You that are necessarily infringed by Your Code Contribution(s) alone or by combination of Your Code Contribution(s) with the Work to which such Code Contribution(s) was submittedwere submitted by You. If any entity institutes patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Contribution, or the Work to which you You have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, You hereby grant to LDBC the Corporation and to recipients of software Corporation Software distributed by LDBC the Corporation a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work, import Corporation Software where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You that are necessarily infringed by Your Code Contribution(s) alone or by combination of Your Code Contribution(s) with the Work Corporation Software to which such Code Contribution(s) was were submitted. If any entity institutes or voluntarily participates in patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Your Contribution, or the Work Corporation Software to which you You have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work Corporation Software shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, You hereby grant to LDBC Open Ethics and to recipients of software distributed by LDBC Open Ethics a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You that are necessarily infringed by Your Code Contribution(s) alone or by combination of Your Code Contribution(s) with the Work to which such Code Contribution(s) was submitted. If any entity institutes patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Contribution, or the Work to which you have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, You Contributor hereby grant grants to LDBC University and to recipients of software distributed by LDBC University a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You Contributor that are necessarily infringed by Your Code Contribution(s) alone or by combination of Your Code Contribution(s) with the Work to which such Code Contribution(s) was were submitted. If any entity institutes patent litigation against You Contributor or any other entity (including a cross-cross- claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Contribution, or the Work to which you have Contributor has contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed. Any patent license granted hereby by an academic institution with respect to contributions by an individual employed by the institution is limited to patent claims where the individual that is the author of the Work is also the inventor of the patent claims licensed, and where the academic institution has the right to grant such license under applicable grant and funding agreements. No other express or implied licenses are granted.

Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, You hereby grant to LDBC ioBroker Org and to recipients of software distributed by LDBC ioBroker Org a perpetual, worldwide, non-non- exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the WorkWork to which Your Contribution(s) were submitted, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You that are necessarily infringed by Your Code Contribution(s) alone or by combination of Your Code Contribution(s) with the Work to which such Code Contribution(s) was submitted. If any entity institutes patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Contribution, or the Work to which you have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, You hereby grant to LDBC the Project Leads and to recipients of software distributed by LDBC the Project Leads a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You that are necessarily infringed by Your Code Contribution(s) alone or by combination of Your Code Contribution(s) with the Work to which such Code Contribution(s) was submitted. If any entity institutes patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Contribution, or the Work to which you have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, You Contributor hereby grant grants to LDBC University and to recipients of software distributed by LDBC University a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You Contributor that are necessarily infringed by Your Code Contribution(s) alone or by combination of Your Code Contribution(s) with the Work to which such Code Contribution(s) was were submitted. If any entity institutes patent litigation against You Contributor or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Contribution, or the Work to which you have Contributor has contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed. Any patent license granted hereby by an academic institution with respect to contributions by an individual employed by the institution is limited to patent claims where the individual that is the author of the Work is also the inventor of the patent claims licensed, and where the academic institution has the right to grant such license under applicable grant and funding agreements. If any entity institutes patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Contribution, or the Work to which you have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

If any entity institutes patent litigation litiga- tion against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Contribution, or the Work to which you have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

If any entity institutes patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Contribution, or the Work to which you have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

If any entity institutes patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Your Contribution, or the Work to which you You have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

If any entity institutes patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim cross-­‐claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Contribution, or the Work to which you have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.

Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, You hereby grant to LDBC IBM and to recipients of software distributed by LDBC IBM a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the WorkWork to which Your Contribution(s) were submitted, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You that are necessarily infringed by Your Code Contribution(s) alone or by combination of Your Code Contribution(s) with the Work to which such Code Contribution(s) was submitted. If any entity institutes patent litigation against You or any other entity (including a cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that your Code Contribution, or the Work to which you have contributed, constitutes direct or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses granted to that entity under this Agreement for that Code Contribution or Work shall terminate as of the date such litigation is filed.
