Common use of Grantee Relationship Clause in Contracts

Grantee Relationship. Grantee assumes all rights, obligations and liabilities set forth in this Grant. Grantee, its employees, and agents will not be considered employees of the State. No partnership or joint venture relationship is created by virtue of this Grant. Grantee, and not the State, is responsible for the payment of wages, benefits and taxes of Grantee’s employees and any subgrantees. Prior performance does not modify Grantee’s status as an independent Grantee.
