GRANTING TENURE TO ADMINISTRATORS. In order to attract and retain highly qualified administrators, the University may grant tenure to new Xxxxxxx/VPAA, Xxxx, or other administrative position. Although not a common occurrence, the hiring of an administrator with tenure will be done upon the recommendation of the majority of the members of the tenured and tenure-track faculty of the department. The hiring of an administrator with tenure will follow the process described in this Article. All administrative candidates for tenure must hold a terminal degree.
