Grants and Donations. The local board may solicit and accept grants and donations from sources other than Federal funds made available under this Act. TAX-EXEMPT STATUS.—For purposes of carrying out duties under this Act, local boards may incorporate, and may operate as entities described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 that are exempt from taxation under section 501(a) of such Code.
