Common use of GUARANTEED SPEED Clause in Contracts

GUARANTEED SPEED. The SELLER guarantees that the trial speed at design draft (5.5m) at Maximum Continuous Output of the main engine (MCR), with clean bottom in calm and deep sea under heaufort scale of 2 or around is not to be less than 12.5 knots. The speed shall be corrected for wind speed and shallow water effect. The correction method of the speed shall be as specified in the Specifications.
