Health Risks. The Student accepts to travel to the tropics and is fully aware of the risks associated to studying in a tropical environment. The Student will take all precautions to avoid encounters with venomous or behaviourally dangerous animals (arthropods, fish, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, etc.). The Student will also visit a medical unit specialized in tropical diseases before travelling to the tropics and follow the medical guidelines as prescribed (e.g., with respect to malaria). In addition, the student is required to abide by all the safety regulations imposed or advised by the local staff of the participating institutions.
Health Risks. In coordination with the local health bureaus, JPG shall, and shall cause IAs to, ensure that: (a) the Works contractors disseminate information and conduct awareness training on the risks and prevention measures of HIV/AIDS and other communicable diseases to their employees, temporary laborers and family members, and subcontractors during the Project implementation; (b) measures to prevent other communicable diseases are implemented, within the construction sites, as specified in the EMP; and (c) these requirements are included in the Works contracts, monitored and reported semiannually to ADB through JPG.

Health Risks. The Borrower shall cause Punjab to ensure that the civil works contracts include legally mandated provisions on health, sanitation, and appropriate working conditions, including accommodation, where appropriate, for construction workers at campsites during the construction period of the Project.

Health Risks. In coordination with the local health bureaus of the Borrower, HPG, through the PMO, shall cause the Subborrowers and any parties to carry out the Subprojects of the Subsequent Batches to ensure that (a) the civil works contractors disseminate information and conduct awareness training on the risks and prevention measures of HIV/AIDS and other communicable diseases to their employees, temporary laborers and family members, and subcontractors during the Project Implementation Period; (b) these requirements are included in the civil works contracts, monitored and reported annually to ADB through HPG; and (c) occupational health and safety issues associated with the facility operation are addressed in accordance with the ESMS.
Health Risks. The Project Local Governments shall, in coordination with the appropriate agencies identified by SPG, cause the contractors to disseminate information on the risks of socially and sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDS, to their employees during Project implementation.
Health Risks. The Borrower through DOW shall ensure that all civil works contractors participate in the sexually transmitted infections (STI) prevention program to be funded under the Investment Program in the construction campsites. The DOW shall also ensure that similar information on the risk of transmission of STIs is disseminated to local communities in the corridor of influence, in coordination with national agencies working on this issue. The DOW shall include specific provisions to this effect in civil works contracts, and compliance shall be strictly monitored by a qualified international NGO, which will be engaged and will operate in collaboration with the Provincial AIDS Councils and Health Administration.
