Common use of HMO Responsibilities Clause in Contracts

HMO Responsibilities. (1) HMO must identify care coordinators who will be available to assist public health providers and PCPs in getting efficient referrals of Members to the public health providers, specialists, and health-related service providers either within or outside HMO's network. (2) HMO must inform Members that confidential healthcare information will be provided to the PCP. (3) HMO must educate Members on how to better utilize their PCPs, public health providers, emergency departments, specialists, and health-related service providers.
