Common use of Holding Over Period Clause in Contracts

Holding Over Period. If Lessee or anyone claiming under Lessee shall, without the written consent of Lessor, hold over after the expiration or earlier termination of the term of this Agreement, such tenancy shall be on month-to-month tenancy, which tenancy may be terminated as provided by law. During such tenancy, tenant agrees to pay to Lessor the rent otherwise agreed to be paid hereunder plus an additional amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) thereof.
