Illegal Alien Workers. Contractor shall not knowingly employ or contract with an illegal alien to perform work under the Contract or contract with a sub-contractor who knowingly employs or contracts with an illegal alien to perform work under the Contract. Execution of the Contract or these Special Conditions by Contractor shall constitute a certification by Contractor that it does not knowingly employ or contract with an illegal alien and that the Contractor has participated or attempted to participate in the E-Verify Employment Verification Program administered by the United States Department of Homeland Security, (“E-Verify Program” – f/k/a "Basic Pilot Program") in order to verify that it does not employ any illegal aliens.

  • Illegal Aliens Contractor shall comply with the requirements of Colorado Revised Statutes 8-17.5-101 et. seq. and the NOTIFICATION OF IMMIGRATION COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATION BY CONTRACTOR, which shall be signed by the Contractor and is incorporated herein by reference and made a part of this contract.

  • Possession of Alcohol and Illegal Drugs Employees may not use or possess alcohol while on duty, except when authorized by the institution’s policy. The possession or use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.

  • Shift Workers All shift workers (i.e. workers whose shift commences at or after the end of the ordinary day work hours) presenting for work when the temperature is at or over 35°C will remain on site in air conditioned amenities for a minimum two hours, holding themselves available to commence work should the temperature fall below 35°C.

  • Occupational Health & Safety (a) It is a mutual interest of the parties to promote health and safety in workplaces and to prevent and reduce the occurrence of workplace injuries and occupational diseases. The parties agree that health and safety is of the utmost importance and agree to promote health and safety and wellness throughout the organization. The employer shall provide orientation and training in health and safety to new and current employees on an ongoing basis, and employees shall attend required health and safety training sessions. Accordingly, the parties fully endorse the responsibilities of employer and employee under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, making particular reference to the following:

  • Illegal Drugs A. The use or possession of an illegal drug or controlled substance by an employee on duty is cause for suspension or termination, and/or referral for criminal prosecution.

  • General Allegations The Settling Entity enters into this Settlement Agreement on behalf of the noticed violator described in subsection 1.4 below, with whom such Settling Entity has a contract for one or more of the products at issue which contains indemnity and defense clauses. The Settling Entity has accepted a tender from the noticed violator and approached Xxxxxxx to resolve such violator’s alleged liability. Additionally, the Settling Entity is making commitments in furtherance of the public interest as set forth below. Xxxxxxx alleges that the Settling Entity manufactures, imports, distributes, sells and/or otherwise facilitates for sale in California the lead products defined below, and that it does so without providing the health hazard warning required by Proposition 65 for consumer exposures to lead.   • Industrial Accident and Illness Leave shall be granted for illness or injury incurred within the course and scope of an employee's assigned duties. The employee who has sustained a job-related injury shall report the injury on an Office approved accident form to the immediate supervisor within twenty-four (24) hours. An employee shall report any illness, in writing, to the immediate supervisor within twenty-four (24) hours of knowledge that the illness is an alleged industrial illness. Requirements for such leave shall be:

  • ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY AND HEALTH PROTECTION (a) Seller shall perform this Agreement in a manner that ensures adequate protection for workers, the public, and the environment, and shall be accountable for actions of itself and its lower-tier subcontractors, agents and employees. Seller shall exercise a degree of care commensurate with the work and the associated hazards. Seller shall ensure that management of environment, safety and health (ES&H) functions and activities is an integral and visible part of Seller’s work planning and execution process. In the event that Xxxxxx fails to comply with this Agreement, Company may, without prejudice to any other legal or contractual rights, issue an order stopping all or any part of the work; thereafter a start order for resumption of work may be issued at Company’s discretion. Seller shall make no claim for an extension of time or for compensation or damages by reason of or in connection with such work stoppage. In addition, Company may require, in writing, that Seller remove from the work any employee the Company deems unsafe, incompetent, careless, or otherwise objectionable.

  • WORKPLACE SAFETY AND INSURANCE BENEFITS 25.01 An employee who sustains an injury or disease arising out of and in the course of his/her duties is covered by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997, S.O. 1997, as amended.
