Common use of Illegality under Letters of Credit Clause in Contracts

Illegality under Letters of Credit. If, at any time, it becomes unlawful for any Issuing Bank to comply with any of its obligations under any Letter of Credit (including, but not limited to, as a result of any sanctions imposed by the United Nations, the European Union, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and/or the United States), the obligations of such Issuing Bank with respect to such Letter of Credit shall be suspended (and all corresponding rights shall cease to accrue) until such time as it may again become lawful for such Issuing Bank to comply its obligations under such Letter of Credit, and such Issuing Bank shall not be liable for any losses that the Loan Parties may incur as a result.
