Common use of In-Patient Psychiatric Treatment Clause in Contracts

In-Patient Psychiatric Treatment. The insurer will cover the actual incurred medical cost of an in-patient treatment in a recognised psychiatric unit of a hospital. All treatment must be administered under the direct control of a registered psychiatrist. The above benefit needs to be pre-authorised. The maximum benefit for such coverage as well as its maximum number of cover days per period of cover should be mutually agreed between the policyholder and insurer and stipulated in the insurance contract.
