Common use of Income on the Escrow Fund Clause in Contracts

Income on the Escrow Fund. Except as provided in Section 5.03, any income realized on the Escrow Fund shall, unless there is an existing Default, be paid to the Shipowner upon receipt by the Secretary of such income. For the purpose of this Section, the term "income realized on the Escrow Fund," shall mean with respect to the Escrow Fund (1) the excess of the cash received from the sale of securities over their cost (less any losses from sale not already paid pursuant to Section 5.03(c)) and (2) cash received from the payment of principal and interest on securities.
