Independent Contractor 17 Clause Samples

The Independent Contractor clause establishes that the parties involved are entering into a business relationship where one party provides services as an independent contractor, not as an employee. This means the contractor is responsible for their own taxes, benefits, and work methods, and is not entitled to employee benefits or subject to the same controls as an employee. The clause clarifies the legal status of the contractor, helping to prevent misclassification and associated liabilities for both parties.
