Infusion therapy is used for a broad range of therapies such as antibiotic therapy, chemotherapy, pain management, and hydration therapy. A home infusion therapy provider typically provides services in the home, but a patient is not required to be homebound. Benefits for infusion therapy include the drugs and IV solutions, supplies and equipment used to administer the drugs, and nursing visits to administer the therapy.
