Initial Punchlist Sample Clauses

The Initial Punchlist clause defines the process for identifying and documenting incomplete or deficient work at the substantial completion stage of a project. Typically, this clause requires the contractor and owner (or their representatives) to jointly inspect the work and create a list of items that need correction or completion before final acceptance. For example, the punchlist might include minor repairs, touch-ups, or missing components that do not prevent occupancy but must be addressed. The core function of this clause is to ensure that all outstanding issues are clearly identified and resolved before final payment, thereby promoting accountability and project quality.
