INSPECTION AT THE PREMISES OF THE FIRM. The departments authorized representative shall have full powers to inspect the drawings of any portion of the work or examine the materials and workmanship of the equipment (except for the imported item(s) at the firms works or at any other place from where the material or equipment is obtained, if the department so desires. The firm shall offer the equipments for inspection well in advance before dispatch of materials from the factory. The equipments shall be dispatched from the factory only after the clearance from the Engineer – in – charge. Acceptance of any material or equipment shall in no way relieve the firm of their responsibility for meeting the requirements of the specifications. In case, any equipment is found defective or of inferior quality the firm shall have to replace the same free of cost.
