Instructing Locations Definitions. For the purposes of this clause, three instructing locations shall be identified and defined: (a) Primary-campus instructing refers to the location to which the member usually reports for work and where the member's faculty office is located. (b) Non-primary campus instructing at a secondary campus at the University's request. Must normally be approved by the Academic Xxxx six (6) months before the course begins. (i) All actual and reasonable transportation costs associated with travel between the non-primary campus and the primary campus will be borne by the University in accordance with the Employee Travel Expense Policy. (ii) No Faculty member shall be required to instruct at the "primary campus" and in more than one non-primary campus on a single day. Classes shall be scheduled in a way to permit ample transition time between locations. (iii) Faculty members shall not be required to teach non-primary courses if they have reasonable grounds for not so doing, but faculty members shall not unreasonably withhold consent. Non-primary campus courses will only be scheduled following consultation with faculty. (iv) In addition to the expenses covered by the university for non-primary instructing, members engaged in non-primary instructing will be allowed to charge the expenses of one extra day and night - to be used at either end of their instructing duties, as reasonable considering distance involved. See Article 35:12 for stipends associated with non-primary campus delivery. (c) Off campus - instructing at a physical location that is not on an Algoma University campus (reserves, field trips, etc.) per the University's request. This does not apply to e-Learning. Must normally be approved by the Academic Xxxx six (6) months before the course begins. Not unreasonably denied. (i) All actual and responsible transportation costs associated with off campus instructing will be borne by the University in accordance with the Employee Travel Expense Policy.
