Common use of INSUFFICIENT APPROPRIATION Clause in Contracts

INSUFFICIENT APPROPRIATION. 1. If any General Assembly appropriates insufficient funds to implement this or any successor Agreement, renegotiations will be held in May or June of the year in which insufficient funds are appropriated on the items in this or any successor Agreement affected by that appropriation, in order to reach agreement on such items, based on the amount of funds actually appropriated by the General Assembly. 2. If, despite the best efforts of both parties, negotiations on a new Agreement are not completed by the July 1 following expiration of its predecessor Agreement, the terms of that Agreement will remain in force until the new Agreement is ratified. 3. The new Agreement, with negotiated changes, becomes effective July 1 following the original expiration date of its predecessor.
