Common use of Insurance Evidenced Clause in Contracts

Insurance Evidenced. Prior to commencing work, ARCHITECT shall deliver to DISTRICT certificates of insurance as evidence of compliance with the requirements herein. In the event ARCHITECT fails to secure or maintain any policy of insurance required hereby excepting professional liability, DISTRICT may, at its sole discretion, secure such policy of insurance in the name of and for the account of ARCHITECT, and in such event ARCHITECT shall reimburse DISTRICT upon demand for the cost thereof.
