Interactive Televisions Courses (ITV. 1. This agreement shall take precedence over any calendars, procedures, policies, textbook materials, or contracts used by other schools or organizations participating in an ITV network course. 2. Assignment to ITV courses will be in accordance with the provisions of Article XXV (Professional Workload) of this agreement. Compensation for ITV courses will be in accordance with Article III (Salary) of this agreement. For an ITV course being taught by a Professional Employee for the first time, that Professional Employee will receive an additional $120.00 per credit hour plus clerical assistance for developing course materials. Each additional time a course is taught on ITV, the Professional Employee shall receive an additional $30.00 per credit hour. The Board will communicate with a Professional Employee regarding the issue of the level of quality which can be expected teaching the particular subject-matter on ITV prior to assignment. 3. The College, at its expense, shall provide appropriate and timely training it requires of its Professional Employees involved in ITV activities. All costs associated with such training including but not limited to meals, travel, materials and boarding, shall be paid for by the College. 4. If ITV responsibilities, training or otherwise, cause the Professional Employee to work any portion more than the 175 days provided by Article I of this contract, then the Professional Employee shall be paid at the rate established in Article XXIX - Supplemental Contracts of this agreement for other duties as assigned when outside contract time. 5. Selection of materials and textbooks for ITV courses shall be handled in the same manner as selection for other classes. 6. ITV courses shall not be electronically monitored nor taped without prior knowledge of the Professional Employee, who will verbally inform students of the time and date of the monitoring or taping. Professional Employees shall have the right to video-tape classes at their discretion to be used for professional self-development. 7. Video-taped instruction shall remain the property of the College in accordance with Administrative Policy 200-30, Products of Research and Development. The videotaped instruction shall not be used for resale or for subsequent course enrollment without first entering into negotiations with the Association. 8.
