Intercept Devices. 30.1.1.1 Local and federal law enforcement agencies periodically request information or assistance (“Requesting Authority”) from a Telecommunications Carrier. When either Party receives a request (“Receiving Party”) associated with an End User of the other Party and the Receiving Party does not provide the network end-office/loop switching functionality to such End User, the Receiving Party will promptly notify the Requesting Authority so that the Requesting Authority may redirect its request to the appropriate Party that provides such functionality. Notwithstanding the foregoing, a Receiving Party shall comply with any valid request of a Requesting Authority to attach a pen register, trap-and-trace or form of intercept on the Receiving Party’s Facilities.
