Common use of Interim Redetermination on Account of Increased Income Clause in Contracts

Interim Redetermination on Account of Increased Income. An increase of ten percent (10%) or more in Tenant's monthly gross household income (the gross amount of income received by Tenant and household members during a month computed as provided in the Department’s regulations) shall require a rent redetermination by LHA, and Tenant shall report any such increase (including any changes in income, exclusions and deductions) to LHA by the seventh (7th) day of the month following the increase together with authorization for verification. Rent increases on account of such an increase will be effective no less than fourteen (14) days after LHA sends Tenant a notice of redetermined or adjusted rent; such notice may be sent before LHA verifies the increase. If Tenant fails to report an increase of ten percent (10%) or more in monthly gross household income (or to provide sufficient information upon which to calculate the rent) by the seventh (7th) day of the following month, any increase in redetermined or adjusted rent shall be effective retroactively so as to begin on the first day of the second month following the month in which the increase occurred.
