Common use of Internal Cross-References Clause in Contracts

Internal Cross-References. Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, a reference to an Article, Section, or clause means an article, section, or clause of this Agreement and may be understood to mean, for example, “Section 5.1 of this Agreement” or “Section 5.1 hereof.” The term “Section” is used variously to identify entire Sections (as in “Section 3.1”), subsections (as in “Section 3.1(b)”), and clauses (as in “Section 3.1(b)(i)”).
