International dimensions. Close cooperation is planned between the CrossGrid project and the other European and international Grid projects (EuroGrid, DataGrid, GryPhyN, PPDG). A special architecture integration team, has been defined within the CrossGrid project, with its goal to track other developments and to assure that integration with the DataGrid infrastructure can be realised across the whole Europe. Already the connections to the DataGrid project are very good, as several members of the Consortium are involved in the work at CERN, and in addition there are personal contacts at the managerial levels. The Consortium has also a representative in the Global Grid Forum steering group. Still, in the long-term a cluster project bridging DataGrid and CrossGrid would be desirable, as it would lead to full compatibility, unification and standarisation. The European Grid initiatives are already recognised as strong partners for worldwide cooperation, precipitating the creation of the Global Grid Forum. Another European project in this area will enhance the role of Europe in this programme, and the GridStart project will result in close cooperation between EU Grid initiatives.
