Common use of Interpretation and Headings Clause in Contracts

Interpretation and Headings. In this Agreement: (a) headings in this Agreement are inserted for convenience of reference only and shall not affect the construction or interpretation of this Agreement; (b) words importing the singular number include the plural and vice versa, and words importing gender include masculine, feminine and neuter; (c) any reference to “this Agreement” shall be a reference to this credit agreement as it may from time to time be amended, supplemented or otherwise modified in accordance with the provisions hereof; (d) references to “herein”, “hereunder” and similar expressions shall be a reference to this Agreement and not to any particular section; (e) unless otherwise noted, all references to “Section” refer to a section, subsection or paragraph of this Agreement, as the case may be; (f) unless otherwise noted, all references to “Schedule” refer to a Schedule to this Agreement; and (g) words and terms denoting inclusiveness (such as “include”, “includes” or “including”), whether or not so stated, are not limited by their context or by the words or phrases which precede or succeed them.
