Common use of Interpretation of Drawings and Documents Clause in Contracts

Interpretation of Drawings and Documents. Drawings and specifications are intended to be consistent, be mutually explanatory, and should be used together and not separately. During the performance of the Project(s), should any errors, omissions, conflicts, ambiguities or discrepancies be found in the drawings and/or specifications, the Project Manager or the Consultant will clarify in writing the intent of the drawings and/or specifications and the Design-Build Firm agrees to abide by the Project Manager’s or Consultant’s interpretation and perform the Work in accordance with the decision of the Project Manager or the Consultant. In such event, the Design-Build Firm will be held to have included in its Contract Price the best materials suitable for the purpose and/or methods of construction.
